SLON DCT OIL PAN (Shipping from USA)

I have 5 SLON DCT oil pans in stock in Michigan. I can ship these out immediately. I'm in talks with the owner of SLON to become a supplier here in the USA so people don't have to wait for months to get their parts. Hands down, this is the best pan on the market. The only problem is that is being manufactured in Russia and takes months to get here. Group Buys always end up taking too long. I went ahead and bought 5 sets to test the waters with the owner of SLON to see if my company (///M Power Motorsports) can develop a professional relationship in the future with SLON as an exclusive supplier here in North America. It took over a month to receive the units and I have to say, I'm super impressed with the packaging and the presentation of these beautiful pieces of art.

PM me if you're interested and we'll take it from there. SLON has many amazing products and if you guys want me to contact him for any of his other products, chime in on this thread. I am not a big fan of group buys. If there is something that people are interested in, I usually just buy a good amount of them upfront and stock them. This makes things easier for everyone. It's risky but hey, that's what makes it fun.

If these pictures are accurate, I don't understand why someone hasn't made a cad file and just asked a machine shop to make them yet?

I get it's not snap of the fingers easy, but I've worked with large machine shops via my job in the past and it looks like a 3-axis cnc machine is being used with a block of billet aluminum.

Has no one in the US not gotten out their calipers and micrometer to replicate this at all hah?

It will probably cost you a lot more to do a low volume production run in the US as compared to just buying a finished product from Slon.

This is a copy of a stock pan with a bit extra depth and better baffling. The secret sauce is the fluid suction extension which no one else has.

I see what you're saying. Firstly, if someone is doing all the research and putting out quality parts, I rather just support them than "Copy" them. Secondly, this part has been out long enough to get copied. If it's not copied by now, there must be a reason. It's super expensive to get these things made in small batches here in the USA.

Not really. Lol.

They have tried to make a copy, but result is too stupid. Smaller height pan - without any walls, fully unuseful thing. Larger height version - no longitudinal tilt, so not even close to the normal installation on the car and of course without suction pipe spacer.

This post covers the differences.

*Been done poorly.

Fixed your sentence for you, welcome.

@abdul yeah I've seen the wannabe reproductions as well, but I guess my entire point is if people are in the market for this and it's taking extended amounts of time from Russia, someone would have done it by now.

My gripe isn't with the quality, just the time to get it to us. Assuming it's a customs/supply chain issue? Oh well, you have 5, they'll be gone quick enough ha!

2 things:

1). I've got the slon pan on my car (been on there for 15k miles) and it's fantastic. A really high quality piece of work.

2). I ordered some throttle actuators from M power and their customer service was top notch. They were available to answer my questions and kept me updated through a few delays.

This seems like a match made in heaven. Quality parts from a quality supplier through a quality vendor.

This is awesome! I got the brembo basic kit (front calipers only) from Slon but would like to get the rotors and rear set up in the near future as well.

Replied to all PM's.

Forgive me for the late replies. I was gone for a vacation with my wife after 6 years. Just got back a few days ago.

I'm sure you know what the retail price is plus the shipping cost and customs once you receive them. It's at least 1200 dollars. Since I purchased 5 upfront, it ended up costing me less. I'm not trying to make money from these. Just want to get my money back and a few bucks extra. Shoot me a reasonable offer and I'm sure I'll entertain it. The purpose of getting these was to develop a long term relationship and see how this would work. SLON has a lot of awesome products. I wanted to test his communication, reliability, shipping time, payment method etc. I'm hundred percent satisfied with all that and I do plan on moving forward with him. PM what price you're thinking and we'll go from there. Thanks! I only have a few left in stock.
