Stocked up with way too many. Before I send back figured I'd post here. $500. New in box still sealed, latest version 2.

Thx

Do these make a big difference even with the stock EPS amp?

If you're looking for a big difference, upgrade the amplifier before any speakers. That will do WONDERS for your sound. My car came with EPS but my prior bimmer (e93 328i) had hifi which I upgraded with an aftermarket amp. And I STILL reminisce over the sound quality of that system, even though it didn't have EPS speakers.

I took out the amp in hopes of putting it into my M3 but there are a lot more steps involved in putting an aftermarket amp into an EPS system vs just hifi. So I'm still on EPS sound for now.

Point being, upgrade amp first. It will make a world of difference. If you want to go my route or similar, I have a MATCH UP7 DSP amp, and a Technic kit for aftermarket amp conversion for the ESP system. I just haven't installed it yet.

They were a worthwhile difference in every car I've done it to. Much more low end thump.

What’s involved in this amp conversion? Is everything plug and play?

Would these drop right in to 2011 E93 with EPS?

Yes they will.

For what it's worth, Bavsound removed them from their site a few months ago due to people having AMP issues. That said, I have had them in my car for many years, and we've installed probably about 20 sets, and never had a single issue. Two of my personal friends with M3s have over 60k miles with these installed and no issues… But I thought I'd throw that out there.

I actually keep the bass in the middle now, whereas before it was up a few notches. Maybe it causes issues for those that really bump unnecessarily. Don't get me wrong, definitely not listening at a low volume, but I did want to be upfront about this. It's definitely a worthwhile upgrade IMO. It does take a little time for them to break in and sound the best.

Another clarification - the amp doesn't blow, they saw failures of the subs and it led to too many warranty replacements. That said, I have yet to see a failure in any of the sets we installed.

Definitely better for the sub to blow than the AMP!
