Which springs for the best handling?
Hi guys! I'm currently shopping for the springs for my non-ZCP M3,
I heard all big brands are offering good springs, i want to know out of all the brands, which brand will gives a better handling? I currently have my eyes on Dinan Eibach Kw HAS H&R sport. I also wondering for the springs like Dinan(drops 0.5) do I need E36 bump stop or shaved top mount? Thanks |

The M3 does not have a lot of travel as-is from the factory, so you need to be careful on how low you go. The E36 bump stops are shorter and therefore allow a bit more travel when you lower the car.
There are many good threads on this topic on the forum. Just do a bit of searching. Good luck. |

Pretty happy with my Swift Spec R springs. Dramatically reduced body roll and ride height is perfect IMO.

I don’t think any of them have noticeably different characteristics based on design differences. Some may be softer or stiffer than others and some may be slightly higher or lower than others. Somewhere there is a thread with spring rates. Find a set used from someone moving on to coilovers. I have had H&R on my car since 2012 or 2013. I bought them used. They are the milder of the 2 H&R springs. I later bought a used set of Bilstein B8 shocks and struts. Most recently, I bought an Eibach front swaybar and shorter endlinks.

Eibach are closer to what could be considered an OEM+ spring. Same level of ride comfort as stock but lower centre of gravity and better 'stance'. All of the above are good quality though.
I would recommend E36 M3 bump stops and shaved top mounts at the front no matter which you chose to retain stock suspension travel. |
