Cost of front bumper repaint

Curious how much would it cost locally to do this and any recommendations of body shops. Btw, will the body shop be able to fill in the reflector holes during the process?

On average I'd say $500-600, you're looking at additional cost if they have to fill in the reflector holes though.

I had my reflectors filled in and front bumper resprayed several years ago and i think the cost was around $500 or so. I had a bunch of other stuff done at the time so the total bill was larger but i *think* that was the cost for just the front bumper.

it would be a pretty crappy paint job for $300. I've paid $500-$850 depending on paint and if they need to fill rock chips or dings. $500 would on the cheaper end and if the shop just bought OEM paint. $850 would include OEM paint with several tint matches to get the color dead on.

Absolutely not. I get a lot of things painted. Custom, repairs and aftermarket parts. All top end PPG paints and exact color match. You need another shop if you are getting charged that much. My guy treats me good but it's not a "discount".

After color match, I also drop the parts off to be painted (remove from car). I can't image that's a big discount though...

Perhaps its a CA thing? I know you are being pressured to use waterbased paints there and there is a cost to shop owners in conversion which = customer $$$.

Where are you located? you're posting in the NW regional section... perhaps labor rates are different on the east coast.

$300 is a maaco job here.

Color matched out the door was $600 and the bumper looks brand new. You wouldn't be able to tell it was resprayed if I didn't tell you.

Still though, 800$ for a bumper? Seems a little on the high end side. Typically here it'd be around 400-500. That's with Diamont paint match (the most fricken expensive paint ever) and high gloss clear coat. But yes, with repair it'll come out a lot more, and it varies with colors. Say Red vs Silver you'd be looking at least 100$ difference and then if it's a pearl or metallic it all kinda adds up.

I believe there should be a Finish Master somewhere around there. Just make sure you bring your color code and a piece of the original paint (gas cap, or piece of bumper) the matches are typically spot on

I had the front fender on my Lexus repaired and painted after a collision by the Maaco in downtown/lower Queene Anne - they actually did a GREAT job. They had a couple of REALLY good painters there on staff a couple of years ago.

Theres a shop in kent that used to do all of the PNW guys paint needs a little while back but I forgot the name of it. When I had my 335i, I had him paint my mtech front/rear and m3 side skirts alpine white for $400. paint color was spot on. I believe the guys name was andy or andrew.

**edit**

Its Collision Specialists in Kent

Who do you mean by "all of the PNW guys", forum members? Anyone else have experience with this shop? That price is certainly very attractive.
