Best way to remove gum?

I've read about several approaches, just wondering what has worked best for you when removing gum like this.

3M auto adhesive remover maybe? I used that for some glue residue from clear bra... worth a shot since it's safe.

Did it on another car years back with bug and tar remover. That got 90%, then a little WD40 cleaned up the residue. Just don't scrape or pick at it.

I'd try this. Great product and better than many OTS bug/tar removers, IMO. It may take a few applications.

I almost wonder if you could heat it with a heat gun and just peel it off.

One of the suggestions I read was to put ice on it, then it will crack off. But given that it's 108 out here today, that's probably not going to work

Thanks for the tip on this product. Just ordered from Amazon, it'll be here tomorrow. I'll post with the results.

The 3M adhesive remover is a great solution but it's overkill for this. A solid citrus APC would knock this out. Be careful not to let it dry especially with it being so hot where you are. Ice works decent when it's on carpet or a similar surface but not so much on a hard surface.

Good advice. You should never wash or detail a car in direct sunlight anyway.

3M auto adhesive remover worked like a charm

The gum is gone after only a few minutes of working with the 3M auto adhesive remover. Great product. I learned to work it quickly before it dried/evaporated, and let the product do the work.

Absolutely no damage to the paint.

Thanks again for the suggestions!
