looks like 3.45 is the highest we can go and retain downshift blips
When tracking the car heavily there is tons of heat in the DCT as is. I do not want to add non-rev-matched changes to the load |

Are you running a 3.45? I'd love some more info on the set up because I was under the impression it was 3.15 only.

Some members here have used the 3.45 without issues. //Mobbin for example. |

Hujan also has a 3.45. I have a 3.45 going in soon, just waiting on one drive flange to complete the kit.

I should also note that I am running a 295/30-18 rear wheel/tire, so my rear wheel is about ~1" smaller than stock. This is amplifying the increase in FD by some margin, though exactly how much I can't say. Based on my experience, I would steer clear of the 3.62. The only problem with the 3.45 is the gear sets are hard to come by. I got mine through Florian (DriftFlo). I will have all three as soon as the intake comes in. I did the CF shaft and 3.45 diff at the same time and the acceleration out of the hole is dramatic. I was able to beat a stock Competition Pack F80 by a good margin from a dig (though, in fairness, he had 6MT and a passenger). I also held off a DCT E92 M3 with a tune and Akra GT4 from a roll no problem. |

I have quite a few friends here running 3.62 with no issues. But they can't tell me what they did (or did not do) to achieve smooth shifting. Hopefully coding that byte will sort it out for you, Peter.

aren't you going to try that with the syvecs?
I'm most interested in doing this with the stock ECU. I may have missed it if you have said otherwise |

I’ve already done it with the Syvecs. Now I’m doing it with the stock ecu, the MSS60.
I can swap between the two quite easily, actually preferring the stock ecu atm as it’s a lot smoother in D and when crawling around in traffic or car parks. Syvecs makes more torque though. |

Indeed, there’s more tuning required for sure, hopefully they can get it close.
For a track car it would be fine, just driving between the pits and track. I drive mine to/from the track however. |

Wonder if straying from the OEM tire size and adding a 3.62 is what causes the issue?

syvecs would probably work as a track-only car, but having driven a syvecs car on the street my conclusion is that you have to be a glutton for punishment to run one

Meanwhile, us 6MT guys freely run 4.10 because we let our left foot and common sense dictate the downshift points.

the same thing happens to me change the relationship of the differential and now the gears enter at the wrong time, they will only realize on the track, wanting to get off the road will not respond immediately..
I had the original 3.15 uff very long, I put 3.62 and there began my problems ... soon I will exchange ecu Oem for an Emtron and also I will put GCU brand HTG Tuning to work better the gearbox |

I have done all 2019 on 3.62 and DCT with GTS software. Not only I did my best lap time this year, I had no issues shifting up or down once the car adapted to 3.62. Fabulous mode.
The only side effect is driving to and from the track I go a bit slower as I don't want to be on the highway higher than 3000-3200 RPM. I would not do it if this is your daily or only car. I have a video on the track section of my best lap and you can listen and see the shifting points. |

Great feedback from everyone,
I’m looking at a diffs online, either 3.62 or 3.45 for my Dinan 4.6 S3R DCT. Since it’s a torque multiplier, on 407 ft.lbs, the question is which diff would be the most fun and reliable.? |
