Alex @ AlpineMSS

Hey guys, I just wanted to give a review on Alex @ AlpineMSS and his tunes. I have a Catless E90 M3 with a 6MT and needed a tune to take advantage of the added power. So what I did was go for Alex's Tune as I heard a lot of good things about him and have had a lot of first hand experience with his F80 tune on my friends car. At his price point it's literally a steal, his tune makes as much power as any other tune from other vendors at almost twice the price! The car runs stronger than ever, and as a 6MT guy with the stock file (I was on stock 241E) the car would lose so much power during every shift as the torque just wasn't there. But Alex fixed that issue, and it feels like the car never wants to stop pulling.
I'm part of the younger crowd so as you can expect, I love burbles and attractive attention (lol) so I wanted to get a crazy burble map. Due to having unlimited remaps and files, and after exchanging a couple of emails with Alex showing him burbles of what I wanted he made me test maps (a ton of them) [Sorry Alex!] testing out maps to find the perfect burble map that met my needs. Alex went above and beyond and spent alot of his free time making custom maps for me to test and see if I liked them, and being as picky as I was I kept asking for revisions, numerous times and Alex obliged. His customer service is on par if not better than the product as Alex really does put the customer first and will do everything possible to make sure the customer is happy. I've logged about 5k miles on his maps and the car just performs in all weather, even below 0 Temps! If you need a tune for your M3, F8x/E9x don't look any further than Alex. He's the best and I wouldn't have went to anyone else even if money was no object.

Wow!!! Is awesome! I have the melody Alex and I wear an akrapovic evo line (full). I recommend Alex's new burbles or can they be harmful to cats?

Do not run this file with cats. High flow cats may even get damaged by this. I'm running this on a fully catless setup.

I'm currently running a test burble map that Alex gave me. I'm sure if you ask him he'll provide it.

Rod Bearings were replaced with OE bearings at the dealer at around 60k miles. I'm at 79k right now. Probably going to redo them with BE Bearings this summer.

Nice, I just got my car back today after bearings
I don’t notice a difference aside from using BimmerWorld motor mounts, moderate vibrating at idle and lower rpm’s but it’s cool

Did you have to add a bit more oil after 9 quarts? Mine is telling me +1qt (1 bar before empty)

I put about 9.3 quarts, and go through about a quart every 1k miles or so in consumption. Seems about normal tbh.

Should I be concerned running on Alex's burble tune without getting my bearings done?

Rod Bearings will wear regardless of running burble or not. Burble isn't good for your motor regardless and it isn't advised to run it on a daily driven car but you can if you want. It will accelerate overall motor wear but it doesn't solely impact your rod bearings. I have Alexs' tune and I dont run the burble on a daily basis. Every so often, ill switch to the burble map for fun (stock bearings) and thats my .2 cents. Alex will write you new tunes (2 a week) so id recommend running a non-burble tune and have him send you a burble map for you to switch to when you want.

HOWEVER, there are guys who always run burble tune so its your choice but theres downsides to it.

Just another positive review for Alex at Alpinemss.
His tune and install process was very simple.
Flashing a 2008 that was never updated completely transformed the car in refinement and performance.

The cold start removal with temperature sensitive rpm is genius.

Highly recommended.
