Moving on...

Sold my M3 today after listing it just yesterday, time to get a boring car for a few years. My son turns 16 in April and an M3 with adolescent behavior is a recipe for disaster.

Hope to be back in a few years, will post up some remaining parts soon and enjoy the spring/summer Canadian M3P!

Last few pics today...

Admire your maturity. I am far away from that unfortunately.

Enjoy the spring as well and see you soon.

Definitely sounds like a tough decision. If it's any consolation, it's clear you made the right choice. I'm sure many of us remember the days when we first got our licenses ...

I think you can still get a "fun" car while ensuring your kid is safe. The E46 ZHP or E90 328i comes to mind and it makes for a great DD. Best of luck in your search!

I know eh? After getting the paint corrected on the car and polished up just right, the blue hue popped.

I am 44 y/o, I wish I was more immature, I would've kept the M3

Time will tell, depends in a few years if I can find the right example to buy.

I actually leased a 2019 Lexus IS300 with AWD, auto, nicely optioned. Was surprised how cheap it worked out for. It's no M3, but, it has all the widgets on it which I must admit, is pretty nice.

The guy who bought it actually did get an awesome car, the mechanic who works on the car (Boost Theory) was very surprised I sold it knowing I went through that car with a fine tooth comb on maintenance/repair. I actually did not plan on selling it, I wanted to keep it long term, but after thinking it through, it's not the right play to have an M3 in the family with a 16 y/o male, I trust my son, but it's too tempting of a vehicle.

This is the 3rd one I have bought and sold in 5 years. Each time I bought an M3 I knew when I spoke to the owner before seeing it, that I would buy "his" car. It went the same with the guy who bought mine. He had requirements he wanted in options/colour, but he had been at it for months. We all know, the better the maintenance history/records, the quicker our minds ease on owning one of these cars, but selling in one day, yes, the timing was perfect for the buyer and me.
