BTW, I've being using my 2G iphone with the original cradle for about 7 months. I've found the signal strength really good, in areas where typically the phone would have low signal strength if it wasnt in the cradle ... so give it some time before making judgement. As a shameless plug, since I recently sold my M3 ... I'm now selling the iphone cradle and base plate. Check out the for sale part of the forum .... http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=239240 |

2.) Personal preference. I tested at the dealer and the Y-Cable worked fine. Listened to music, sent/received a call, and uploaded contacts. All worked fine. I ordered the cradle so the phone would not slide around and I would still have the option off hooking up a separate iPod. I'm hoping that I have more consistent signal strength as well. Of course, when I ordered 6FL and 6FN with the car, back in January, I didn't know half that I do now from the forum!! Hope that helps.
