Best Detailing Spray

I'm always looking to try new stuff. List of ones I regularly use

- Maguire's ultimate detailing spray
- Sonax brilliant shine detailing spray
- Adams detailing spray

I love the sonax but it's awfully expensive for such a small bottle. Maguire's is my default since I can run to a store when I run out. What other products are you guys using? Sonax gives more of a wet look than the other two.

Honestly, I've not noticed a huge difference between the various "quick detailing" sprays. I just grab a bottle of the Meguiar's one (can't remember the exact name) once a year when it's on sale. I got tired of buying different products and never seeing any measurable difference.

It really depends what you're using the "quick detailer" for..

Are you using it to spot clean the car? Or as a drying aid? Or as a top-up for your wax/sealant after a car wash?

I normally use it in between waxes after a wash.
There's just all this new shit now I see on fb feeds. Talk about strategic marketing lol.

No idea about that stuff..

I usually use Chemical Guys After Wash to help dry and lubricate my drying microfiber to protect the paint. Spray on while wet and dry with microfiber as usual. It leaves some gloss and protection afterward. Easy to use

If I'm looking to add protection, I'll spray some GTechniq C2v3 on the car while wet before drying. This is a paint coating but can be used as a topper when diluted. (that's why I spray while wet) Be aware that if you use this when the car is already dry, it will leave streaks and you'll need to buff it. I only directly spray the surface while wet when used as a QD-type topper. 1 spray is enough for a panel. If you spray too much it'll also streak... not really user friendly. The results are incredible though... and it'll protect the paint for nearly a year with each application.

Phil seems to like the Kenotec (see thread below). Looks nice.

I have used quite a few brands as well and didn't see much difference until I came across Chemical Guys Hybrid V07 Optical.

https://www.chemicalguys.com/Hybrid_...wac_808_16.htm

I'm using it on top of glaze/sealant/wax. It really brings out the shine after a wash. It's just a little cheaper than the Sonax, but I wait for them to have a sale and buy the gallon size at 20% off...which is roughly $40.

How ironic, I chose the sonax over this just recently. Thanks for the input will try this next time.

I use Kenotech, got it in a detailers domain box last year and I love it. Works so well and the bottle has a wonderful sprayer.

I use V07 too. This stuff is great. Makes the car look wet which seems to make the angles pop in the light. Since I use it over the sealant it seems to boost the sealant and gets it to last much longer.

Meguiar's spray wax and quick detailer do a good job.

On black paint it's really nice. You can see the reflection of my garbage can towards the back of the driver door.

I'll 3rd this one too! Just started using Chemical Guys V7 as my go to each time right after washing, and it's fantastic. Super, super slick surface left behind with outstanding gloss. I've long been using Optimum Spray Wax for this purpose with great results too, but on my M5 with the darker paint color sometimes it would show streaking which isn't seen on my other cars. No evidence of that with V7.

Anyway V7 is my vote for now. I'm not sure how it could be any better. It's $38.95 shipped (Prime) on Amazon for a gallon.

Just ordered the gallon lol. You would be a fool to order the 16 ounce bottle.

Might be an odd addition to the list, but this stuff is great for getting rubber off your paint. I love it. Great product.

I've been using Zaino Z-6 for a while and really like it. Their Z-8 is just insane. Really makes the paint pop!

Tried the chemical guys V07 and its on par with the Maguire ultimate detailing spray. The V07 does leave a streak if you do not thoroughly wipe it down. For some reason I feel like the chemical guys kind of strips my wax.

going to try the kenotech next.

Does the V07 stuff do anything significant as far as anti-static? My new car is a darker color and tends to look dusty.
