Engine malfunction-brake vacuum sensor or seal.

Car thrown into limp mode but goes away after i turn it off and restart it, but comes back after 10-15 lines of moderate driving. The engine sounds fine but the idle jumps right after the engine malfunction comes on. I hear this noise. I believe it's either the brake pressure sensor is bad or the brake booster seal is bad. I know the brake booster runs off vacuum so that could be it. Curious what you guys think. I hear the brake vacuum pump activate a lot more than normal, almost running all the time to be exactl.

I'm going to check the codes tomorrow it's Sunday and everywhere is closed. Fingers crossed it's only the brake vacuum sensor.

Strange I’ve been dealing with this problem as well, got the brake booster and brake vacuum sensor replaced and the car runs fine. Only problem is every time I start the car no matter how long it’s been off it needs to stay on for about 10 mins before I actually start driving if not boom engine malfunction. Any help?

Have you replaced the whole assembly or just the sensor ? I've heard of this issue coming up if the check valve in the brake vacuum sensor brake booster line going bad.

Since you replaced brake vacuum sensors, perhaps fuel tank breather valve? Just a guess as that commonly causes idle flux.

Usually causes uneven idle randomly or after fill up but not really limp mode
