Is the Eventuri Intake worth it?
Trying to do anything to improve the sound of my E93 M3 which already has an Akrapovic Exhaust. I have watched a few videos on YouTube but couldn't notice a difference. Anyone installed this and notice an significant improvement in the engine noise? Or is there something much cheaper that could achieve the same thing?

Here is a thread with detail comparisons and feedbacks on the topics! The OP actually tested 2 different Plenums with the same car.
IMHO, the Plenums will definitely give you an improve Induction Noise! It is also depending on how loud your exhaust is but i believe it should be pretty good for most exhaust setup. I would skip the Intake and Airbox Cover unless you want a complete CF look. From what i gather, those 2 parts do not increase the sounds too much (for the amount of $$). https://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1779294 |

The plenum yes is significant. Installed the elbow and lid later and that doesn't add as much noise, not even close.
My car with ONLY the plenum. |

Like the Karbonius, it's really just sound and looks. You shave a few pounds and maybe a few hp, but minimal at best.

What exhaust was that by the way? Also, I see in the Eventuri E9X M3 (S65) Carbon Inlet Plenum options there is: Add Carbon Intake System What is that? It's an $800 USD difference, is that just for aesthetics? Last edited by Super Spartan; 01-18-2021 at 07:39 PM.. |

I have the Eventuri and although aesthetically pleasing, if you are running any type of test pipe setup the induction noise won't overpower this. If I had to do it over again, Not sure if I'd still pull the trigger at full price.

My exhaust is a Corsa. No test pipes or x-pipe, still have all my cats. Your Akropovic probably isn't terrible loud. |

yes, these intakes are worth it if you really love your car and will enjoy it.
-but- you have to understand that you are not getting $3k worth of performance. you're getting an intake, sound, some weight savings, and a nice piece to look at when the hood is open. if you're expecting it to transform the car, you're mistaken.

The fact it only makes the enhanced induction sound at WOT makes it super daily friendly. If I knew this plenum existed in 2012, I'd have saved a lot of money on muffler modifications 😂 The video that best encompasses its sound, although Walter would have needed some help filming 👀 |

It was pricey to be sure but worth it to me. Recently installed and I love how it looks and the additional induction sound is awesome. I love it.

The Induction Noise is very pronounced above 4K (and would most likely overcome most exhaust noise).
I have an e93 M3 with DINAN exhaust and definitely recommend it. However, it will depend on your driving styles/conditions as well. The wind noises (with the Windows down or Convertible Top down) will overpowered the Induction noise over 65-70MPH. |

curious about this myself. debating between eventuri intake or carboproject plenum since they're about the same cost. does the intake feel like it makes a difference in performance?

Absolutely not. Even Eventuri clearly states it's (the plenum) not a performance mod.

I thought it was the best money I spent on the car. It may not transform the performance of the car but, for me, it did transform the driving experience. The S65 has the potential to make one of the most amazing induction notes you will ever hear. The plenum unlocks that glorious noise.
Perhaps if you have a test pipe/fully decatted car, the noise may overpower the induction note but, short of that setup, you will still hear it. I had gutted secondaries and a Borla catback and the Eventuri plenum was still easily heard and enjoyed. It was amazing. The exhaust would burble and rumble down low and then the intake roar would take over up top. And downshifts....unbelievable. I sold the M3 for a 911 a while ago but I still miss the noise the M3 made. The plenum was a big part of that enjoyment. Last edited by 850tgul; 01-20-2021 at 07:18 AM.. |

I have the full Eventuri setup and would recommend it to anyone. What I love most about this car is the sound, from the amazing exhaust note to the beautiful induction noise. I knew I wanted to enhance the sound first before suspension or external mods, so I bought an exhaust, test pipes and the Eventuri setup. As a bonus, when I open the hood, the carbon fiber makes me smile almost as much as I do when driving it and looks great when I go to the car shows. I say go for it!

I was just about to order it but the full setup would costs north of $3600 USD and with shipping to Dubai (freakin' 800 bucks) it comes out to $4400 USD! that's almost what I just paid for my Akrapovic Exhaust system including shipping! This is insane!

Wow, that is pretty insane; especially the Shipping charges!
You dont really need the whole setup! The Plenum will probably get you 90%-95% of the sounds. I am wondering if it will cheaper if you know someone in the USA to buy it and ship it out to you? |

The lady I spoke to from IND told me that I needed the whole setup for the best sound as those carbon components which replace the plastic also enhance the sound. As much as I like it from the videos I've seen, I don't think it's worth it for a little bit more sound which I know I will lose this money if I ever sell the car in the future unlike the Akrapovic exhaust which I bought which is really worth every penny. |
