Uneven pad wear on rotors

Just installed brand new rotors and stoptech pads. But the rear right is only wearing on the inside of the rotor. The other side is fine. I took them apart and greased everything but it's still like this. Is the calliper seized or maybe the pad is uneven?

It's fine and nothing to worry about. You're just looking at two surfaces that aren't perfectly mated together. The discs just need to be burnished/bed-in. When you mate up two semi-hard metal surfaces (pad face and disc face), they aren't going to match up perfectly at first. Over time the surface each will gradually wear and conform to each other. If there was a ridge on the disc for example, it would eventually cause a groove on the pad (assuming the pad was softer than the disc). Over time your pads are constantly scraping material off the disc face, or adding pad material to the disc face depending on the temperature you're running them, the characteristics of the pad material, etc.

The way to accelerate the mating of the pad and disc face surfaces is to bed them in. We have a couple videos on the topic that we shot years ago discussing what you're seeing (see below).

Again though, nothing to worry about as long as the brakes feel like they're functioning properly and everything was snugged up properly during the install.

Thanks for the insight. I'll drive it around a bit more then properly bed them in
