Code p0335

Hello all
I have 2008 e92 m3, with 30000 miles (manual).
I was leaving work, started the car up, went about 30 ft and the car died and would not start up again.
I am getting DSC and DBC malfunctions...
I pulled the codes this morning and it was P0335, Crankshaft Position Sensor malfunction.

My question/request is (and i have used the search function):
- If anybody has a repair manual, would you be so kind to scan or take pictures of the pages on location and access (email: dennis_ty@yahoo.com)

Thank you in advance

I know this thread is a bit old but I'm going to revive it to add my experience and solution.

I had an issue on track during initial pace laps that left me stranded. I couldn't restart it and had to be towed out. After pulling the codes, it only gave me P0335 (Crankshaft Position Sensor "A" Circuit). After clearing it numerous times, disconnecting the battery, and trying to start it several times, I ended up towing it to Markert. They diagnosed it as the same thing. Replaced the sensor and now its working fine.

Does anyone know why this part would fail on a manual car at 35k miles or is it just random? Also is there any known TSB for this?

Somewhat relevant is that I recently changed out my x-pipe (within 100 miles of incident) to be fully catless using a Bomiz xpipe. It seems like the sensor is shrouded by a metal plate that I remember taking off to get better access to the header bolts. Do you think the heat had anything to do with the sensor failing?

Sensor is #20 in the image below. Part number 13627839138
Metal plate is #22 in the image below.

The shroud was put back on after installing the catless xpipe. And no, I dont think the trans was ever out. Had the car from 19k to 35k (current).

i have had sensors go bad just from unplugging them so it isnt impossible, have sen them get damaged if they arent removed before pulling the trans too, but that isnt your case. id say its just a bad sensor and didnt like being disturbed
