Possible DCT Problems

OK guys went to the strip thursday night did a total of two runs
the first went fine trapped 118mph and did 12.8 in the quarter mile
(havent drag race in years) second run my car completely died and the end of the race it just shut off. I tried to restart the car but it wasnt cranking
got out and i had smoke coming from under the car and a really bad smell like an electrical fire. i still could not get the car started and no errors codes showed up so i had the car towed to the dealer once we got there the car started no problem like nothing was wrong pulled it into service
They still havent looked at the car but they say it smells like a burnt clutch
I forgot to mention that i have an ess vt2 625 kit installed two months ago and i have 16000km on the car. My question is guys like Img M33 Drew And 1sickm
who normally Drag the car have you ever experienced something like this before would love your input i dont find it normal that the clutches fried so easily. Now im waiting to see what exctaly the dealer will tell me

Did you use launch control or did you just peg it from a stop? I just read that you can never peg it from a stop.

Even if you used launch control, sounds like you burnt your clutches up. That totally blows! I feel for you man.

Bummer!

Ouch, seeing more and more of the leaky pans all of a sudden. Way more than I have for the past years.

Sorry to hear about your misfortunes. Having said that, your sig looks awesome.

I didn't use launch control and never have I just punched the throttle. I only did two runs it's not enough to fry a clutch and the car is practically new

Never just pin the throttle. It drops the clutch and will kill your clutches. Always use LC. How is this covered with your blower on the car??

Came back from dealer the starter is fried and it's still a mystery how that happenned
Not sure about the clutches yet but I think they are ok
Two runs at the strip are not suppose to burn you clutch
Starter is back ordered going to be at least another 10 days before I get the car back

I know that LC is supposedly better for DCT clutches at a launch, but what's the difference in clutch drop? Doesn't LC do that too?

That's low mileage just like mine 16k to be changing oil pans and now my starter is fried not normal at all for low mileage cars

LC slips the clutch. A good friend of mine fried his clutch at the track not using LC. Mashing the throttle drops the clutch at 3k and its violent! I did it once in the very beginning before I learned how to properly launch the car

You have a nice dealership...VT2 625 and your warranty is going to cover it...crazy. I am going to get yelled at for warranty issues because I have test pipes...

Sounds like you just rolled off the line at the drag strip if you pulled a 12.8 @ 118 with the supercharger.

Hope this gets fixed fast for you!

My car is still at the dealer because of a leaking oil pan, Side gasket and front pan (lump), good think i caught it while installing TP. Hopefully this isn't a recurring problems for DCT TRANNY
