But it turned out to be a bad coil pack. After updating the dme firmware to 241e, it started to throw a misfire code that it never threw before. A new coil fixed it and it has been smooth ever since.
Did you change all of them or how did you know which to change as they are very expensive?

Are you using the "power" button by any chance?

that stupid button makes things a bit awkward when driving, i've turned it off for better control of the throttle.

Misfire was in only 1 cyl.
I swapped the coil with another cyl, and the misfire code moved to that cyl.

I choose to only replace that 1 coil at the time and had planned to do all later.

I'm having the exact same issue, but dont think it's coils as there is no misfiring at all, the engine idles and runs very smooth.

What I'm experiencing is akin to the throttle pedal dying between 1500-3000rpms. There is literally no throttle response, like its running on idle or maybe 5% open throttle. I've even tried stomping the pedal (from off to WOT) and it makes do difference. Very strange!

Driving this style feels like I’m lugging/straining the motor. If it hiccups down there consistently check the basic ignition & fuel. Most of these hiccups though depending on maintenance done can consist of TA, Spark plugs, and ignition coils.

Carlow, we’re you able to sort out the issue? Did you end up replacing any coils?

my issue was fixed after upgrading to latest 241e tune and then getting a misfire code. Once I replaced the bad coil, the issue went away.

Still haven't replaced all the coils, since the prices haven't gone down, nor have NGK figured out their issue.

I had bought NGKs for my other S65 car from Rock Auto before covid and the production issue started and those are still running great. Was waiting for a non-dealer alternative to come back, but it doesn't look like it's happening.
