Cool M4 GT4 Experience...anyone else do it ?!?

Jus gettin' around to sharing a very cool enthusiast experience. Did the ultimate BMW M Performance School late 2023 with best friend, a fellow BMW enthusiast.
Bar none, total awesomeness = "BMW M4 GT4 Experience".

Done some track days, ACs, along with M schools...yet to actually pilot a legit GT4 race car in multiple sessions was transformational.
Albeit not actual racing, instead drive for 'best lap time' [professional race driver - 'lead-follow'].

BTW - Won that 'distiction' out of eight other fellow hard charging studs!

As seen below, the M4 GT4 was still an F82 config.

https://youtu.be/Fh_qkGkg91s

The G82 GT4 becomes available early this year. That said, BoP constraints doesn't really change 'power performance'. What will improve is the chassis performance results, meaning F82 v G82.

As a former Naval Aviator, carrier based Attack pilot, I can attest...likely my most fun/gratification since those days.
Planning to do so again soon, next time a 'level-up' track scenario w/o 'lead/follow'...cain't wait!

I’ve considered this since I’ve done the M School a few times. Sounds like it’s worth the spend. Post some vids on YouTube!

Nice!

I'm heading there soon for Advanced M school in a few months.

Professional race driver in a OE M4...he was quite 'pressed' to stay ahead
Light weight, braking, runnin' slicks with a lil skill ==> a BLAST

Yeah same here, did 2-day and Advanced M schools...the GT4 is a huge step change, worth every $$.
You are spent once sessions conclude and adrenaline dissipates

did you feel like it was a good ratio of seat time vs "this is a race car. let me tell you about race cars"

if i sit in another classroom where they bust out the steering wheel with a rope on it, i might lose my mind.

I hear ya'...shared the same sentiments in previous 'schools'.
Of course there's some class briefing [i.e. safety, cockpit layout, gear fitment, etc], maybe ~45min.

Vast majority of time in car; ~½ day in OE M4 + ~½ day in GT4
...believe me it's plenty of GT4 seat time in a non-A/C, no vacuum assist braking, hot box while fully suited up

Actually did 2-days of AC at the Performance site...quite impressed with G87 performance and handling.

Very cool to compare the drastic difference on course G82 v G87, especially regarding weight.

Yeah, probably will try the GT4 in the future after the 2day advanced.
