Throttle actuator repair?
Has anyone else experienced this? It’s occurred in the past but not for some time. More recently while driving the cluster will light up and display “electric error” I was told it was failing throttle actuators. Assuming that that’s the issue has anyone had luck with a repair kit from FCP? Is there any to tell that it’s the gears that have failed as opposed to the circuit board?

That repair kit works if the circuit board is in good shape. If the board is the issue, new gears won’t fix it. The driving board experiences duress when the gears have busted teeth then compensation long term kills’em. For the cost of repair gears in comparison to whole part replacement…..I’d say just go for it! IMO, I feel like the gear replacement is a preimtive choice. Just my 2 cents though.

Ain’t gonna lie, it’s worth a try. If it doesn’t workout there are places that will rebuild them, including the board. I had one of two fail and I just bought a fresh one and kept my bad one. I will end up sending the OG bad one for repair and shelf keeping for the future. Good luck dude.
