BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
USD 43,500.00

Item Interest
Morning all,

I'm really getting the itch to get into a 996 or 997 GT3, but with only so many garage spots, I'd need to sell my M3. I'm literally not sure I could do it. I bought this from the original owner a little over a year ago and have literally spared no expense making it perfect.

It's 100% stock except for a brand new BMW M Performance exhaust; version 2 and black grills. I still have the stock exhaust and grills.

Here is what I did when I bought it:

Full Fluid Change & Plugs = $1100
Full Genuine OEM Rotors/Pads = $1750
Changed all badges with new = $350
New 359 Wheels w/ Center Caps = $2250
New 255/275 Michelin 4S = $1800
New Floor Mats & Trunk Cover = $200
New Stereo Trim Panels & Pedal Pads = $100
New M Performance Exhaust = $2520
---------------------------------------------------
Total = $10,070

This car has had zero accidents and zero paintwork.

I'd need around $47,500... (lowered to $43,500) for this unicorn, so I wanted to see if anyone was willing to entertain that price if I was willing to sell.

Thanks,
Josh

Beautiful car in almost perfect spec. I can't believe someone would build such a low spec zcp and then check the navigation box!

I would suggest bringing this one to Bringatrailer. Interlagos brings all the money on that site. If you are wanting to see $47,500 on a mid mileage car then that is the place to potentially get it done.

I concur on the Nav and felt the same way when I bought it. But now after living with it a while, I actually like it. Makes the car feel a bit more current.

Will consider BaT.

Special car. Great spec.

As a reference EAG had a very similar car 2 years ago. Identical spec to this one, but no Nav and 22k miles and they got $54K for it (I almost bought it).

Not to hijack but why would anyone buy from those rip off artists at EAG?

To OP beautiful car. Wish I could justify it.

Thanks appreciate the data point. I always wondered where their pricing was.

Honestly I always looked at cars there and considered it. Mainly because buying a car and sorting it adds up. Then throw your time on top of it and I'm sure some can justify the high price. Just another take on it.

I only considered a slicktop and it took me well over a year to find this car. It's a weird obsession but I love unique, quirky, rare vehicles and finding one without a sunroof definitely qualifies.

I wish my Cayenne GTS was a sunroof delete, but my old 911SC was and it was super duper hard to find.

Because they have excellent well documented cars, know their shit, are very professional and help keep our car values up.

If you compare EAG prices to BAT prices they're not that far off on low mileage, rare spec, well maintained cars.

They sell cars all the time so clearly there are buyers. Our community slandering EAG makes no sense to me. Think about it, they help keep our values up. Also not everyone takes pride in nickel and diming sellers to death. That gets old.

It would be interesting to see what they would offer you for this car. Assume they mark up at least $10k on cars like this to cover their overhead.

They gotta make way bigger spreads on the six figure cars like lightweights and evo e30s. Their website is the best car porn going.

Manual heated speed cloth is just wow. Wish mine had...

Single hump would be ultimate spec but this is a nice piece for sure. Best of luck with that EAG asking price...there was a guy in CA that had basically the same car in Lemans without cloth and 39k miles for sale earlier this year. It was mint and had all preventative maintenance done plus MPE and upgraded brakes, etc - he finally dropped it to 38k but decided to keep it I guess.

I understand the EAG price comment. This car won't be for everyone, but a very specific someone that wants to buy a rare car already buttoned up.

Very interesting to watch -

Private seller here has an "EAG spec" car in "EAG ready to go condition" and he can't get $47k or an offer within that range on this forum. Now put the SAME car on EAG's lot and it will sell for $54k+ in a few weeks.

As much as people bitch about stealer-ships, flippers and EAG this fact pattern validates the comfort and convenience people prefer in a dealer purchase to the point they will pay $7k to$10k over private party sale.

OP your car is well worth mid forties - post it up on Autotrader or BMWCCA. This forum is perhaps too small a distribution to find the right buyer. Agree on BAT as well.

Agreed, but it's all good. What I'm asking is basically what I have into the car and what I think someone would have into it if they bought a similar car and wanted to completely sort it to EAG levels. So that being said, I don't want a GT3 bad enough to take a bath on this car

I'd sooner find another garage spot!

I realize there are $20k e90 M3's out there but the buyer for one of those is not the buyer for my car.

I also have thick skin so I can take the price criticism too!!!

I hope you get at or near your list price. The car is mint and what everyone wants. Not everyone wants another grey/silver/white/Jerez Black car. The cost difference between the gotta have it color and spec vs "I can live with it" spec and color is pretty vast. At this point it would probably take an offer of at least $40K for me to consider parting with mine.
