No issues. The 3.45 rev matches fine in all gears. Just wondering if it could be further optimized. I also have a Alpine DCT tune (the normal one).

I see. Okie ty. I'll just bite the bullet and buy new TAs again lol. I'm in the 442 GTS software.

I wanted to say thanks.

Peter, thank you for digging into this and pointing out there is a GTS+3.62 software solution out there

Alex, thank you for providing a DCT tune, and specific GTS+3.62 tune. Thank you for your patience during the tune and after the tune as I was digging in for explanations on what was done.

To all other interested:
It is important to have a constant charger on at least 40amp, or just run the engine during the tune. This advise sounds like a common sense, until you are digging into the implementation.

If you run your engine, that car should be outside. Since you need to be both, connected to the car via a short cable, and on your home WiFi, it has somewhat conflicting requirements. out side the WiFi will be weaker.

The cable is short, so the common sense is to put the laptop on the driver seat. But the car blocks the WiFi signal. So with the driver window open, find a table or a chair with sufficient hight to position the laptop at Window seal hight, by the driver mirror. At that location and hight, the cable length is sufficient

I recommend watching the car messages while the tune is going. It is not a process to leave unattended. IMHO.

If you have a battery with a circuit breaker, like I do, the high amp (40-90) may trip the protection. If it does, the car won't start. make sure the trunk is open so you can access the reset button! I have a remote button so I was able to reset from inside the car.

If your wipers are going back and forth, there is not enough amp provided to the tune. At 40amp my wipers were going back and forth slowly. At 80amp the running lights grew noticeably brighter.

Here is a recommended device with out endorsing it. I ordered one for the next time I need to keep the car at constant amp.

Iota DLS-90/IQ4 12 VOLT 90 AMP 4 STAGE AUTOMATIC SMART BATTERY CHARGER/POWER SUPPLY https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0074JVP2C..._pW5yEbMB9D56C

My car is always on a 4.3amp Lithium Battery tender when I am not driving. This is not enough during a tune.

Hope this helps

You’re welcome, though I didn’t do too much really.

How are you liking your renewed downshift blips?

First, I was going fron GTS to GTS+3.62 tune.
The results are not as dramatic as going from OEM to GTS.

Alex helped with reseting the adaptation of the DCT and the ESS tune. i have to drive it more to see the results. First 20 minutes test drive on my "proving grounds" was showing promising results. But I an not ready to declare anything until I am taking it to the track March 28th.

Preliminary tangible results are when down shifting while on the gas gives you intoxicating blip.

Counter intuitively, when off the gas and/or on the brakes it sometimes blib, sometimes slip the clutches. So to early to say anything.

It does seems to yield a better consistency up or down. Again 20 min after full calibration reset

I compared my indicated speed to my AiM's GPS speed and they are almost identical. I am not sure if I am missing something, but with 3.62 and 275/35/19 i am at OEM ratios.

But when I do the tire calculation the difference between 275 and 265 is only 1.1%

The difference between OEM 3.15 and 3.62 is 15%.

So I expect 14% difference. Meaning if I am going 70mph indicated, my AiM GPS should say ~62mph

Is this right?

Is this right?

Speed isn't calculated by RPM it's done by sensors in the wheels.

Recently stumbled across a number of settings to adjust this in the engine software. Those that have a modified rear diff with BPM Engine and Transmission software, feel free to reach out. Willing to do a free test on the first two people that contact us for confirmation. Thank you

Anyone running a DCT car with a different ratio?
https://nam3forum.com/forums/forum/e...ive-diff-ratio

These guys are offering to help make the change.

Martyn created the ecuworx software to edit stock tunes, and this could be a great new feature.

The ECUWORK binary tool can change the FD ratio?

Martyn is asking for help testing to confirm, once he confirms I would assume he will create an update with this new feature.

Thinking about a 3.45 final gear ... Any update on DCT coding? Seems like there are so many mixed experiences, I wouldn't proceed without a software solution. Also no idea why a 3.62 would create DCT issues while a 3.45 would not. I currently have Alpine's DCT flash and have inquired with him if he can do a 3.45 version, but I'd also be okay with the 442/OE-GTS software if the single byte can be changed by the remote tuners who know what they're doing.

Upshifts, downshifts, etc all just as good as before the 3.45 swap? Makes no sense how this can be while 3.62 screws things up.

All works, no issues. I did ask if it was possible to change the code to 3.45 just to see if it would make any difference. But as it is, everything works like before.

My driftflo built diff tuned by who he recommends is still going strong & rev matches as expected

From what I have heard there are others still working at it but none have quite gotten there yet.

That doesn't modify the DCT software. The final drive setting in the engine software doesn't really do anything.
