Any E9x Sydney Owners that can help me out

So I have a 2018 RS3 sportback and I'm considering replacing it with an E90 as my daily and possibly an E46 as the weekender OR an E92 . The RS3 is a great daily with characterful motor and plenty grunt but it aint no M!

Is anyone with coupe or Sedan keen to catchup with me and let me have a good drive? We could swap cars and you could try out the RS3. I'd be happy to shout you lunch.

I have previously owned an E46 M3's and F80 M3, so dont be concernd about an audi driver not understanding how an RWD M car works

PM me if interested and lets catchup.

P.S I know I could checkout the used car market but I dont really want to tyre kick and waste sellers time and feel I would get more value meeting with another enthusiast where a proper review can take place between the 2 cars sharing thoughts.

Cheers

Thanks Mate! I can't bloody decide what do you reckon as I know you been back and forth from E46 and E9x

1) E90 M3 with 75,000km as Daily + E46 M3 100,000km as weekend/Toy
Total $75-80K

Pros = I dont have to give up on the V8 or the E46. I love the look and feel of the E46 but want to also own a V8 as I never have. 2 cars for price of the E92 below. Best of both worlds
Cons = 2 sets of maintenance and both highish km's

2) E92 M3 2011-2013 Fully loaded Comp Pkg(or close) 7000km-20,000km
$75-80K
Pros: = Last NA M3, 1st and only V8. Low km high spec example would be special to have in the years to come. Closer to a new car, Coupe/sportish driver focus feeling as a daily driver & weekender in one as apposed to sedan family car feeling.
Less maintenance and running cost vs 2 cars
Cons: No E46

Subframe cracked on your e46. If not I would go option 1. Read this post in 10 years time and if go option 2 you will be kicking yourself for selling a relatively low km m3 e46 with original repairedcsubframe and floor pan. Best of both worlds with option 1. Plus I reckon the annualized increase in value of the e46 will outstrip the cost of forking out extra rego and low use insurance. Plus much more family friendly optionality.

Subframe on E46 is good. Interesting perspective and is appreciated.

They made 85,000 in total the E46 M3 and 40,092 in the E92
12,510 E46 M3's were RHD, (not sure what the AU breakdown is)
1,570 E92 M3 Competitions were RHD (not sure what the AU breakdown is)

The e92 I'm looking at was the last build off the line 06/2013 and is comp pkg.

I'm trying not to make my decision based on how exclusive or rare they may one day be as these cars will be driven and plan is to never sell, but there is no denying that it just makes the experience more special if they are.

2 ///M cars are better than 1! hahaha

man its a tough one. id probably choose option 1 as you say it gives you best of both worlds especially cos you love the E46.

i dont know if id be spending 75-80 on an E92 m3 though...reason is, finding a lowish kms older E92 for a LOT less $ will still give you the same enjoyment if im making sense. mine is a 96kms 08 model and man it presents like a much lower mileage car and its tight as, no rattles etc etc. if i had the $ and garage $ id be adding an E46 to the stable

Gotta say the sound and grunt that Audi 5-cyl motor makes is something special

I have a couple of M3's soon to be 3.
Its going to be hard to find a clean e46 Manual these days. plenty of SMG. Its imperative that it has had the rear subframe done. I did mine as preventative maintenance and also added a rear frame brace(overkill). completely transformed the chassis. Best thing I have ever did out of all the performance vehicles I have owned was the supercharger kit on the e46. Dont listen to the dribble online from the NA purists. They never usually own or had been in one so they don't see the benefits. Absolutely hands down best perfomance accross the board then any other car i owned, even my 34 GTR VSPEC II NUR,
