I remember having my first BMW e90 325i manual red/beige int while in 1st year of residency training, hooked on BMWs since then, the e9x M3 is just special though!
Currently have SSII e92 M3 ZCP with silver/black interior, love the exterior color, it's an exclusive M color & so different than regular silvers we see around all the time. I got the wheels refinished in satin bronze, gives it a nice contrast, your front wheels will likely be that color anyway from brake dust unless you clean them on a weekly basis... Ha Ha! Consider adding black kidney grills and some carbon fiber exterior accessories here & there, it'll contrast nicely with SSII. Eventually, get test pipes & tune while keeping the stock exhaust, it just enhances the stock sound & amplifies the induction note without changing the character, all while feeling stock when cruising!, the engine just breathes better! |

I actually think on Silverstone that the chrome grilles, side markers, emblem and exhaust go well with the paint. I think I'll stick with the OEM silver 359's for a while but you aren't kidding about the brake dust! I have barely driven it three days this week and the front wheels are already gray from the dust lol. My dream setup would be KW V3, Eisenmann Race or Akrapovic Slip on with a challenge sport x pipe. But in the meantime I want to get some Lux angel eyes, and GTS style front carbon lip, and OEM exhaust mod. That really should do it for me. This car seems so perfect already out of the box. |

And I'm sure it will be a higher chance of chipping, any close to flush fitment usually is :/

I just wanted to say congratulations again
We joked for years and years about this moment and it's finally happened. You're one of the long-time members on here who has exhibited nothing but passion and love for the E9x M3 through the years, despite not owning one throughout most of your forum career. Needless to say, welcome [finally] to the club and enjoy in good health.

Thank you I appreciate that and have to agree. If it was easy it wouldn't have been worthwhile. Your car is incredible by the way |

Congratulations, PGY3 surgery resident here, I feel your pain although you'll done soon. Honestly, my e90 m3 is hugely therapeutic for me, especially when during the winter months when you go to hospital before sunrise and go home after sundown. The car keeps me grinding during those "dark times." Good luck and looking forward to updates on the car!

I started to get chips just behind the rear door, on the thin lower section. I had PPF done, less than $100 for both sides

I sure did, many people complimented the old 328i on numerous occasions. I definitely felt fortunate to even have that car when I did fresh out of college. Thanks for the warm welcome! |

Awesome story. Lots of parallels with mine. I too bought my first e92 M3 saving up from moonlighting shifts during my fellowship back in 2011. On my 3rd iteration currently, a e90. The love only deepens with time.
