this was an OK review. i wont go into what i didnt like about it but to say the least it didnt live up to a "tribute" video. chris harris or even jeremy clarkson should have done a real tribute video to the v10 while also including the m6

I definitely agree with her comments about SMG, most hate it.. But i absolutely loved the manual feeling it had. You can definitely bang through gears and still get the slight jerk like a manual.
Obviously not as fast as DCT, but way more engaging. |

Reminds me of the one thing I miss about the E60 M5 vs. our M3s--the unbelievable acceleration from high speeds. I won't miss the 8mpg I was getting around town, though, or the quart of Castrol TWS I was having to add every 1000 miles. Or the anticipated maintenance and service costs once out of warranty...
She is absolutely right about race-bred, high-revving naturally aspirated engines being a dying breed, largely because of the MPG issue above. They sure are special, though, and I think a lot of soul will be lost when the M3 goes forced induction. Let's hold on to our S65s, boys and girls. |

I won't miss the E60 generation but that engine was epic..just wish that S85 was wrapped around a better looking body and of course with DCT. Long Live the E60 M5.
