Should I be worried? Dash alerts...

So, my battery is finally going out and I will be replacing it soon. However, I have now seen a “DSC” and a “BREAK” yellow alerts on my dash. They don’t show up every time I start the car, but I’ve seen them pop up 3 times, out of the last 7-8 starts. Is this related to the battery “discharging too fast” alert, a sensor issue or something really bad?!?

I just swapped my battery and I would get crazy alerts too. I wouldn't worry about it.

Which battery did you go with if you don’t mind me asking?

This is what I found for our cars...

Then I registered the battery with my Carly adapter

Actually the Walmart H7/H8 batteries are really good and have a 3yr 36000 warranty. You can also try Costco too.

I didn't register my current one, which is going strong for almost 2 years. Free replacement for 3 years and prorated for 5 i think. I paid about $110, so it's worth the risk to not register in my eyes.

I've never had problems with walmart batteries in my other cars as well.

Just changed my battery and went with the Bosch Premium 49-850BAGM from Pepboys. It has the highest specs and longest warranty plus it was available locally. The fitment is 99% as the power distribution box won’t fully clip to the new battery. Install wasn’t too bad.

Ended up using my local independent BMW shop to register the battery and clear the fault codes using Autologic. I tried using Carly, but it didn’t work and has too many glitches for my liking.
