New hood and hardware, strut question

Had to replace the hood due to damage. Shop says there was a change in part numbers or a redesign of the hood hardware etc so all is new. Now hood barely stays up when open. Checked struts are 200 N which is supposed to be right for the weight of the aluminum hood. What to do? Get the 300 struts for the steel hood? Frustrated

OEM M3 hood is not steel, if you got steel, you will need the higher pressure struts of the reg e9x. Be careful because many websites incorrectly identify the struts and send you the wrong ones.

Facts, I was okay with having one of the 330 ones and one worn 200 one, but I ended up bringing it up with FCP and they sent me the genuine bmw 200nm ones for free

Went ahead and ordered new ones from the Amazon link that M43S7RO posted-

Will see if they work better. Maybe the shop just re-used my old struts who knows. Thanks guys

Was about to buy the same one, but they couldn't confirm the lifting force. I got these instead https://www.amazon.com/BMW-Engine-Me...r=8-5-fkmrnull

The ones I bought are for an aluminum hood, as long as yours is aluminum, you should be good to go. Double check the part number when you receive it to be sure it matches before putting them in. The ones you ordered are the same as I got.
