2011 BMW M3 Coupe 6MT 64000KMS
Excellent condition. You won't be disappointed. Car came from Edmonton. Was originally sold in Calgary. I've owned since July 2016. Rod Bearings have been replaced as preventative maintenance. There has been much written about this issue. Throttle body actuators have not failed. The car is in storage in Davidson Sk until the roads are dry. 3M on bumper and hood. Tires, glass, and brakes are all good. Needs nothing. No accidents. No Mods. Price is firm. tnx for looking. Pics can be found here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/UBoHtZp4XRGeLFf58 |

I don't think it's difficult, there is a cost to it to be sure. Here's an email copy/paste response from the border contact person I use.
Are you selling it? cars are touchy they must met all the US EPA regulations etc.. bond is 3x times value. So around 350.00 , placement fee 38.35 entry fee around 200.00 and duty is 2.5% I think depends on your classification, so around 1500.00 or so, lisa |

I can help you with the process of importing - my e93 was orig sold by BMW Calgary and I actually bought it from a guy in SK St Denis... so it's a very similar scenario. Only physical change needed on the car is to set the center digital cluster to show speed in MPH since the dial is KPH only (easily done via iDrive language setting)... they check for this at the boarder. 1 obtain a letter of certification from BMW NA that the car meets USA EPA emissions and DOT standards (which it does). Call Customer device they will send letter in 3-4 days, they were very quick once I was talking to someone that knew what he was doing. You don't need to prove ownership or have the title for this. $0 1.2 run a Canadian Carfax to check for accidents and verify mileage and liens, can't be imported to USA with accident history. $56 1.3 all recalls will need to be done in Canada, keep the invoice for the work and send to TFX. 2 use TFX International for shipping (they are the best and will not damage the car like other transporters who don't give a fk, like US/Canada Auto), they will take care of the boarder crossing broker and manage that process $4k inc import charge - you just need to fill out their forms and send bill of sale, recall invoice and registration to them. It's an all female team dealing with the paperwork- they're brilliant and will ensure you're compliant. 3 you will need to put a bill of sale together with vin, make model, mileage, seller and buyer detail - needs to be notarized by someone local to seller. 4 you need the title or registration signed by seller (SK doesn't have a title system just reg) 5 once the car arrives to your address in the US, border agent will send customs clearance form about 2 weeks later, which will be stamped. 6 everything including the customs clearance form, and pink delivery slip from TFX/shipper will need to be sent to MVC Foreign titles (original forms not copies)- takes 2 months to get the title. $1300ish sales/use tax $60 for the title (in NJ) I Bought mine in late November, delivered on 12/30, I've been driving if for about 2 weeks... NJ MVC took 2.5 months to issue the title (that was the worst part) It's worth it for the right example, I did everything remotely ( first time seeing the car was on delivery) 😄 Last edited by LuckiSevens; 04-21-2019 at 10:01 PM.. |
