People tend to go with the Mr12Volt carplay unit nowadays.. I've had both the Kremersino v3 (with the DSP chip) and Mr12Volt in our cars and they both sound excellent. No issues with either of them. The Mr12Volt connects to the car's MOST bus, where the Kremersino v3 plugs into the Aux in port.
There was an issue with sound quality and lack of bass with the very early carplay units but that seems to have been ironed out in later versions. |

Do not get the bimmertech unit, it’s simply an overpriced basic Chinese unit. All of these units, that are based on AUX use very similar hardware, and the exact same software. And sound quality is always on the low side (not only because of the unit, the cars AUX input sounds bad as well). That money is much better spent on a Mr12V unit that gives you ideal sound quality.
Bimmertech seems to be the lowest value unit - highest price, with functionality equivalent to the cheapest aliexpress units. |
