I usually take my car out one day a week to blow off the dust and keep the battery happy. It was supposed to be yesterday but of course there was rain on and off all day long, so it became an X2 + errands day.
I went into the garage late last night to throw some stuff in the recycle bin and noticed my car sitting there, glaring at me, like a neglected cat. I felt so bad that I had to grab a microcloth and my bottle of Griot's Speed Detailer and I went to town on it. I polished out the roof, trunk, hood, and pretty much everything above the crease, along with the bumpers and spoilers. Then I hit it those surfaces with Griot wax. I feel much better now. The car gleams in those spots and I'm pretty sure that when I walk past it tonight I'll get the vertical surfaces. I'm not as bad an owner as I thought.

Yup. They are indeed identical other than the illumination. Fantastic little mod for 6MT cars!

Lol..^^^ agreed but dial it back a bit. I found myself at the grocery store today judging those not is masks and gloves.. 😂. I think if you're gonna go out to car meets and social gatherings don't post it regardless of the precautions you're taking.

Found a neat spot for night shots. Needs a bit more editing, but work in progress.

And here I am feeling bad the other night when 4 of us took a drive up sea-to-sky and got out to take photos. Although we took turns while rest of us spread apart and stay out of frame. Oh for sure... There was literally little to no traffic all the way from Vancouver to Squamish and back. I think I'll be doing that drive more often now lol. |

Out of Covid boredom I got a different front lip. Laid 5 coats of Imron on it Friday night and installed it today after removing the old one.

Decided to take advantage of everyone quarantining and went for a drive in central PA. Did Gold Mine Rd to 125N which I've heard referred to as the "PA Tail of the Dragon". I saw 3 cars the entire time I was on this strip of roads (probably 40 total miles). This was the first time I've driven the car fairly hard since owning it. This is such a rewarding car to drive fast through some fairly technical roads. I'm always impressed by the front end grip of this car and how easy it is to get the car sideways.
After pushing the car, I've really started to wonder if I really want something else. There are definitely faster cars, but are they better to drive? This gen of M3s is a really nicely balanced vehicle. |

Whenever this whole pandemic thing blows over you should have a little photoshoot with the other Frozen cars that are local. The only colour that's missing is Red tho.

well I put the Eventuri CF plenum on but I can't get the OEM intake elbow back on. I been trying for 3 hours.
I don't think I've seen anyone actually install this with the OEM intake so my guess is it doesn't actually fit. *updated it fits. |

cleaned her up
I love those quiet sunday evenings where I get to spend a bunch of time cleaning her up.
p&s all in one for the inside followed by leather cleaner and VSP for the plastic parts. p&s brake buster for the wheels, foaming shampoo, dry followed by p&s beadmaker. start when its light and end when the sun is just starting to go down and the lighting is perfect. |

Quick review. sounds 100 percent stock with regular driving behavior. At wide open throttle and high revs it's startlingly loud. It sound incredible at wide open throttle. Some downshifts sound really different and awesome too, but others sound as it did before (don't know why). No reason for an exhaust really, don't think you would be able to hear it unless under 5k rpm. |
