H3 (Corning Light) and H8 (Angel Eye) Bulbs Installed (GP Thunder 7500K)
For the complete DIY install of the GP Thunder 7500K, H3 (corning light) and H8 (daytime running light...i.e. angel eye) install , go here:
http://www.m3post.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=208 Angel Eyes On, Headlights off, Corning light off Angel Eyes On, Headlights off, Corning light off Angel Eyes Off, Headlights on, Corning light off. The Angel eyes dim because the headlights are on. Unfortunately, the angel eyes dim to a yellowish color that looks like stock. Angel Eyes Off, Headlights off, Corning light on |

Are the GP Thunders a lot dimmer than Stock as far as the angel eyes go?

I have the exact same bulbs in my car, but have never seen the corning light come on.
From what I've been told, it only works when the headlights are set to auto. Otherwise, how do you activate it? |

If you look at your headlights from the front, the cornering lights are actually located inside the circle housing that is closest to the kidney grills, yet they are still called corning light. If you look at the fourth picture in this post, you'll see this blueish bulb inside the housing closest the kidney grill--this is the corning light.
The corning light ONLY comes on if your headlamp switch is set to Auto. They turn on gradually by dimming on when you rotate your steering wheel by about 90 degrees. When you rotate back to default position, they slowly dim. I find that the GP Thunder corning lights are too blue for me and too dim. I'm probably going to put the stock corning lights back in this weekend. |

That small corner LED can be cut and you won't throw an error. It's the same procedure you do when doing the corner-delete mod. Only the parking/blinking bulb gets the resistor, and the small LED doesn't need one so if you cut it, no error message. |

And yes, when the HID headlights are on, the H3 bulbs dim whether you have stock H3 or GP Thunder H3. I find that the GP Thunder H3 dim to a yellowish color that is almost indistinguihsable from the stock H3 dimmed color.
