Awesome! You still looking for a seat? Think you asked about wheels not long ago too - I'm going to hang onto those for a bit & let one of the guys at the shop that just picked up an E90 use them at the track. You're welcome to test fit any of them though if you have any questions on fitment.

I'm ordering parts for the car and shipping them to Texas. And I'm watching other peoples' videos of the tracks I'm hopefully visiting on the East Coast.......whenever that is..... And I'm trying to come up with socially distanced-appropriate duties, activities and some kind schedule for my kids who are now home until April 17.......

Yeah...word choices matter in a track thread.
What am I doing? Working my ass off ensuring my 1000 person enterprise can continue our mission during all this. Well that and answering a zillion or two data calls from HQ. This forum and Hoovies Garage are my stress relief.

Almost a win with 20 mins and 7 secs behind 1st place and felt the rear end acting weird. Car broke and we had to line from the back of the grid Sunday. BUT we took a chance to throw on the RE71. During the 2 hour stint, came up from 35 or 36th in class to 10th overall and 1st in class. We were a bit worried about being bumped up but then axel broke again. Bottom line RE71 are 1.3 full second faster than the RS4 at Road ATL and really wakes up the chassis (and the fun factor). I have run RE71, RR and R7 back to back same day at Summit and found RE71 to be .5 sec quicker than the RR. Hoosier was another full second faster than the RE71. Was able to break the 5 year old E36 M3 NASA TTD record by a full second with a fresh set of R7 (but they start to fall off after 5HC and are crap by 12HC and possibly slower than RR). It appears that the Yokos are inbetween the RE71 and R7 (even though the delta is quite large time wise)... ordered a set which is waiting at the shop. Will get to it when this hoopla is over. I'd really like to know more info/feedback (from this group as we have a lot of experienced data driven drivers) on the Yoko. TIA Lutfy PS: All times above are from a FRS. |

Took off the rear bumper today to get at the crash bar and tow base nuts. I need a deep socket 18 to get the nuts. The tow hooks base bolts are three 13mm and one 17mm. The 17mm big boi just spins and doesn't come loose. I need to take off the crash bar to see what's going on back there. Not sure how soon I can get a deep 18mm with this travel ban going on in California.

In addition to Hoovie’s channel, I also watch Mischa Charoudin’s videos that aren’t about McDonalds in Croatia. I knew about the Nankang tires from those videos before they were cool. Anyone on Forza Horizon 4? I’m splitting time between it and “track meets” in Motorsport 7. Horizon is a good time waster. I got a McLaren Speedtail and a Lamborghini Veneto in the same day. Now I just have to stop my son from auctioning them off for 7 credits. |
