Fitment Question - F275/35/18 - R305/35/18

I am currently running

Advan TCIII 18x9.5 et22 18x10.5 et25.
Tires are Bridgestone RE760 Sport 265/35 295/35

Car is on Dinan Suspension and I have zero rubbing issues, car is not dumped.

I would like to possibly try a 275/35 305/35 R888 Setup. Just want to make sure it will fit.

If anyone else has any other recommendations for setups for these rims I am open to opinions just have not found many other options besides AD08's.

Thanks all

according to tirerack, there is only a 0.4" difference between the two front sizes for that tire. that is 0.2" added to the radius. i don't think you have anything to worry about.

disclaimer; i'm not a tire fitiment expert.

The rear is going to be pretty tight with that much tire (width) on a 10.5" wheel.

You should fit buy may want to shave down the inside bumper tab as that will be the first thing you hit.

I guess the other Option is NT05 265 or 275/35 R295/35 - R888's just don't come in a 295/35 =(

NT05 is a better tire in my opinion and that size would fit better

Thanks! Do you have personal experience with the NT05?

I have heard really good things about the RS-3 as well but it doesn't come in the right size for the 18's.

I need / Want something a little more aggressive / more sticky then the RE760's on the car now.

I run the NT05 in 275/35-18 square fitment for autocross and love them. I do not have experience with the RS3 or RE760 though.

Michelin Pilot Super Sport is a bunch better than RE760, which is frankly a crap tire even compared to some of its competitor tires, and comes in the perfect sizes for those wheels, 275/35 and 295/35-18. The PSS, for street use, is a better, grippier tire than the NT05 as well. The only place the NT05 is superior to PSS is during sustained track use where the NT05 can stand up to abuse the PSS cannot (and PSS is still quicker over a single lap, just can't take the heat), but if you've been knocking about on RE760's you'll like the PSS a LOT. NT01 is a comparable tire to R888, but why leroy jenkins into an R888 or other r-r-compund on a street car?

Also, the RS3 comes in great sizes for the M3, a 285/35-18 on a 10.5" is the perfect amount of wheel for that tire. I've personally run that setup on 10's and it was just a bit pinched, so a 10.5" wheel would be just fine. Use the 275 up front and call it soup; again the RS3 is a better all-round tire than NT05, but will hold up better to track use than the PSS in exchange for worse ride/hydroplaning than PSS. The NT05 was middling at best when it came out and has since been left behind. You have a lot of choice when it comes to tire sizes that will work, it's hard to screw up on these cars as long as you don't go too tall up front

Thanks for the feedback, I just don't want to lose any tire size from what I am running. PSS are great, but If I was going to spend that much on rubber I would probably do AD08's.

I am Super Charged so just looking for as much tire/stick on the rear as possible. Not many choices in 265/75 and 295 out back. R888's are "Cheap" I guess I could entertain going down to 285's =(

The car see's about 3000-4000 street miles a year, maybe. Its basically a garage/show queen. 2011 w/ 22k miles.

a) just because the numbre on the sidewall is smaller doesn't mean it's a necessarily going to grip less; compound is everything and the RS3 is a sticky sticky tire

b) the AD08R doesn't come in 295/35-18, it comes in 295/30-18, which is a much shorter tire than what you have currently, which means shorter gearing which, when you're supercharged, means more tire smoke; you may or may not think this is a good thing. It'll still be a hell of a lot grippier than RE760's though

c) PSS is $30-85 per tire cheaper in comparable sizes than AD08R

d) If you like the sound of an industrial washing machine with bearings going out, you'll love driving on the R888; R888 is also cheaper than some other less-sticky tires for a reason, TANSTAAFL

It will fit since it is less aggressive than my rear setup in the past.

I have personally experimented (multiple track days):
F 275/35/18 on 18x10 ET 25
R 315/30/18 on 18x10 ET 25 (yes, not a typo 315 NT01)

The rear tire is obviously pinched as the rim width (10") was too small for 315 but it is safe. I track them at Circuit of the Americas until they are corded with no issue.
You need -2.2 degree camber in the rear, car can not be lower than 15mm from stock to prevent severe rear fender rubbing.

Think I am between a PSS and NT05, unless the RS-3 is really that much better of a tire then both and worth stepping down to a 285 in the rear.

Remember the PSS run wide compared to most other tires. The PSS is a great tire and a better tire overall for daily use than the NT05.

Yeah that's the word, I guess the issue is the car saw 3500 miles last year, So its not something I always drive, I do keep hearing great things about the PSS, my best friend runs them on his GTR and loves them.

Like I said before I have NT05s but only run them for autocross. They dont have the best wet grip (seems to not really be an issue for you) but they are also pretty loud on the street. I would never want to daily drive on them but luckily my other set of wheels have a set of Pirelli Corsas on them which I have loved besides the horrible tread life.
