Question $250 IND Gloss Black Front/Rear BMW Roundels?!

Hey guys as many of you I went through the process of making everything gloss black on my E90 M3! But I think I went to far in completing the process. Some would say it is overpriced, too expensive, etc. But I feel for the price it finishes the look, lmk what you guys think? Would you do it?

Hey man I got an excessive amount of painters tape lining portions where I would make most contact. Then I used a thin pry tool set with some tape applied on that as well. Then I added a microfiber towel as soft barrier and stuck the tool in the middle of that and started to pry. I have zero damage, just don't rush! There are some solid DIYs on these forums. I was dumb and started youtube AFTER I nearly finished modding my E90 and F80 M3 lol. So now I started my channel with Project E36 M3 haha. Or else I could've easily made a video for the side grills... Oh well.

Call me crazy, but the roundel is something I don't think needs this at all.

I'm not going to change mine. I still have the chrome grille and sidemarker because I like the chrome with Silverstone. Now if I had any other color car, I would definitely get black grilles and sidemarkers, but I still don't think I would change to these roundels. They just look off a bit to me.

But that's the joy of modding, everyone has a different vision.

Totally agree with you ! And there are colors like black, white and certain silvers I think the chrome is a nice accent. Personally I just gloss black everything I can. Personal preference haha. But that's why modding is cool its unique to each owner. But it's fun to see everyones rendition! But I won't lie you have to see the emblem in person looks flawless like BMW made it and that's why I love IND.

I wanted to make the E90 stand out a little, it might be too much for some. But I like to change up the look here and there!

I used a heat gun to warm the plastic. Taped around the sides. Used plastic trim tools to pry it loose a bit then tugged with my hand with rubber gloves on basically yanking it straight out. The coup is much easier. The sedan is a bitch. I broke one tab but there's so many when I put it back in that mofo is solid.

I did that and damaged my paint. Took it to a body shop to repaint and they installed my matte ones. I want gloss ones now since I got the IND gloss front grill

Props dude! ...I'm in total agreement with you. Getting the gloss black front and rear roundels makes a huge difference. Looks so much cleaner especially for cars that have matching black accents. It's a subtle mod that have most people staring at it and having a double take because they can't quite put their finger on why it looks different of better.

Unless you've seen this mod in person, you won't be able to appreciate how much this adds to the overall appearance. ...and if you have seen it in person and still don't like it, well yeah...I can only see that if you still have and decide to keep your chrome accents.

Dude appreciate the love and the gloss black roundels definitely complete the look, at what cost? Well to me it was worth it lol. My OCD is satisfied and I feel 100% whatever that means haha. And it's funny you talk about it being subtle, but everyone continue to look. Because they always look and just say your car look different and aggressive. Then I point out the TINY detail from IND, and you see it click in their head. And this is also true the videos and pictures won't do it justice, although I thought video would capture it better. But in person it literally just gives the car a polished look, worth the cost to some

I dig'em without the chrome border. Looks great on your cars and it does simplify/clean it up a little. I have a jet black E92 and this is now in my head wheel caps next?

I'm already one step ahead of you... I'm very OCD, I know everyone will point out I missed the steering wheel, but if a replaceable or something was possible trust me I would do it. But since it's in the interior it doesn't bother me as much haha. But my whole exterior is gloss black accents and I it! Again, I won't go over the cost for the center caps. I don't like to relive the horror . Appreciate the feedback man. Got tons of mods for my E36, E90 and F80 M3! Stay tuned!
