Toolbox for garage
Guys, can you advise me a cordless drill and a grinder? I found some review websites. But this DeWalt on the top of the list is $200. I could take bosch with 40 piece drill bits set for less money. Let me know anybody what you have in your garage. My last Makita was 10 y.o., I have no idea what's reliable on the market right now

I use Milwaukee. Quality tools, long warranty, big selection. Ryobi is a good budget choice. And plenty of people like DeWalt, Makita and Bosch. Pick a platform that has other tools you may want. Then you can buy bare tools and share the batteries.

Also might be worth to check to see if any of the manufacturer has a service center near you.
For example I use dewalt because their service center is only a 15 minute drive from my work. So easy enough for me to drop off any tools for service or warranty. I stopped by once because my drill kept dropping bits and they fixed it under warranty while I waited. Nice and easy. Plus they always have awesome deal on tools whether it is new, trade-in or refurb. |

I have had Milwaukee tools for the past 10 years. I have at least 30 tools and at least 20 batteries. I have had one tool fail, and it was one that I bought as a reconditioned tool to try to save a little money (I have other reconditioned tools that are still going strong). So I have had no need of a service center, but you can mail them in for service.

i have a milwaukee power ratchet that i'm very happy with. other than that, i have bosch cordless tools. i have two batteries, one charger, and a variety of handheld tools that share those batteries. you can save a lot of money just buying the "bare tool."

Makita for most, milkwakee ratchet. You can’t go wrong with any of the major brands.
Got a great deal on a n Ingersoll Rand IQ with selectable torque (hand tight and wrench tight), may be my favorite tool.

Cordless grinder works fine with a big battery like 9 or 12ah. I have the Milwaukee. But if you want to grind for 30 minutes straight and have a plug nearby use corded. Corded grinders are cheap. Battery Grinders are like vacuums and leaf blowers — they run down batteries fast when used continuously. Like 10 minutes for a big battery. But they are convenient for quick jobs.
