Adapters for the Akra X-Pipe

Hello all, I just bought an Akra X-Pipe, without knowing knowing that I needed an adapter to connect it to an axle back other then an Akra (Yea dumb me). I've been told and read a couple of different things so I'm hoping you guys can set the record straight for me but hopefully with a unanimous answer.
So it sounds like I need a RKP adapter to connect the Akra X-Pipe to my Dinan axle back.
Then I read on ECS tuning and Turner MotorSports that the RKP adapter is to connect the Akra slip on to an OEM X-Pipe.

https://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-3...2x-per-x-pipe/

Then I've also had others try an sell me a different adapter that apparently connects the Akra slip on to an OEM X-Pipe.

I just want to make sure which one I need if any. Thank you ahead of time for the help.

Is your x pipe section 1+2 or are you chopping up a factory x pipe too? Because you'll a have length issue if it's 1+2

The Turner description is wrong. The picture on Turner is right though. You need the one with the “aluminum donuts”

It's one and two with the HFC's. First time I've heard of length issues. I've read of others hooking it up to other axle backs but with the adapters

Ok, that's what I was thinking until I saw both them and ECS said the same thing. Thanks for clarifying

I think you'll find it'll make your Dinan stick out 3-4 more inches. Unless your slip flanges on the x pipe Have that much adjustment?

I believe the rkp adapters will need to slide down on the akra xpipe 4-6 inches (using anti seize paste). then the akra xpipe will slide into the oem type muffler. There should be no "pushing out" of the muffler.

At least this is my observation with an akra xpipe and an oem muffler.

Oh I see. The xpipe connectors need to go inside rear section and the rkp adaptors act as a flared style fitting.. interesting.

Op have you thought about selling the dinan and just picking up an akra rear section? The rkp adaptors are tough to find and expensive and kind of cheese dick.

If your bent on keeping the dinan another way to go is have a tig guy weld on some slip style flanges to your dinan. I think you'll need 60 or 63mm iirc

I have thought about it but in my opinion, the Akra rear sounded a little raspy to me. Could be just me. But I also have an MXP Mevius that I wanted to connect to the Akra. Just trying different combos and looking for the right sound. I'll have to try a muffler shop, otherwise Akra will be up for sale

Good luck finding the RKP adapters. No longer produced and very rare to come by by themselves on the used market!
