Do they make dpe sp-c5's in 19" and...
Was wondering if they do and if they don't, what's it like driving with 20"rims? Never driven anything with wheels that large and was wondering what the drawbacks are in the winter or anything else.

Why not call DPE to find out what sizes they make?
20" wheels look good but you sacrifice ride quality and some performance (the tires are too low of profile on the M3 for ultimate performance). Some cars that are designed for 20's (GTR, new M5 / M6) will not have as low of profile tires or performance sacrafice. Snow tires are not available in M3 sizes for 20's. 19" snow tires in M3 sizes are available but I would stick with 18's for the snow. 19's are the best compromise for looks and performance. 18's yield great ride quality, performance, and tires are less expensive. 18's look best when the car is lowered on coil-overs.

I would never drive in the winter with any kind of expensive wheels, too much salt on the road that will kill the finish and clearcoat!
You put a set of expensive forged wheels through a winter and you'll definitely ruin them! |
