Anybody go from test pipes and clamp back on the cat's to get CPO'd without issue?

Is it possible to clamp them back on? I always thought they needed to be welded on because the location of the o2 sensor mounts come in the way of the clamp.

Borrow an unmolested midpipe for the inspection.

i don't know, however, i wouldn't risk going without an unmolested xpipe.

I don't know! If they do I really need a xpipe then I guess.

You can get whole exhaust center sections for cheap now, $300 or so... It's not worth the risk of taking them a hacked up exhaust for inspection. A tech who is worth a hoot would spot it quickly.

They come up all the time in the classifieds or Craigslist. I usually sell one every month but am out right now. eBay is also full of them. It costs about $120 to ship them.

I got one I'm selling, but would most likely be quite expensive to ship to ca.

Can you get an estimate from a delivery service? I'm sure people have done it and ther will be shipping companies that will.
