Colorado driving roads?

Heading to breck this week and was considering taking the m3. Last time we took our cayenne diesel and drove Boreas pass which was fun.

Can't remember if any of the roads out there would be fun in the M? Or would we have more fun on pass roads in our SUV?

Take US 6 from Golden to Idaho Springs, then blast up Frontage road parallel to 70 until Georgetown. Then up Loveland pass and down into Dillon. Take the Sapphire Point overlook above the reservoir into Breck.

Then you should bring the car to High Plains Raceway

That looks like a great route! And heck maybe I can't fit the track tires in…..or drive on them. They're rt615k's I think they can do 1500 miles 🤣

If there was ever a time, August is a good one for those tires

Looks like they have a bit of camber wear but I'd say they look up to the task of a round trip from kc? Just swap front to back id say. Maybe I'll do it, my stock 220m with dws06 are running the front of the liners from caster :/

First pic is current fronts (square so could move to rear). Looks like it's just at the wear bar camber side

Didn't realize you'd be coming from out of state. But you'll literally pass by HPR in both directions from KS.

Only thing to note, is the i70 corridor is under a lot of construction all the way through the state. The recommended route avoids about 90% of i70 exposure but the side roads could have their own issues.

If the alternate tires have more tread probably worth considering them in case of inclement weather…

Have fun!
