Putting DCT in neutral + dead battery issue?

Hey guys,

so I tried putting my car in neutral, but for some reason it doesn't seem to move? It seems like it's still parked even when the shifter is supposedly in neutral. My brake pedals are a little stiff though...Could it have something to do with that? And of course the e-brake handle down while doing all this.

I can't start the car either since the battery is complete dead.

Any ideas? Thanks!

It's activated electronically so you'll need to charge or replace the battery.

You can put the DCT in neutral manually. You will find the directions and pictures in the owners manual about page 51. This makes it easier for the tow truck driver to load the car without wheel dollies.

You must lift the shift boot, then you will find a lever on the left side of the gear shift lever that with a screwdriver will allow you to pull the cable to the parking pawl in the transmission. The parking pawl is like those used in automatic transmissions.

Here is an old link to show you about the Parking Pawl assembly:
