Genuine BMW Performance Seats

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds

Item Interest
Selling a set of BMW Performance Seats currently installed in my 1M. These have been customized as follows:

1. Stitching dyed orange.
2. Backs were professionally painted matte black.
3. Belt guides were professionally painted gloss black.

These are plug and play for the 1M and E92 M3, but will require re-coding for a proper install. I've seen them mounted in an M2 as well, but you need to swap the modules in the base of the seat out. They have airbags and are heated if your car is wired as such. Includes the plastic side covers for the bases as well. (The driver's side has a broken tab but stays in place just fine and doesn't rattle or anything.)

If you know what these are then you know how rare they are and what they are worth.

Strongly prefer local pick-up, and can even refer you to a great mechanic in CO that is familiar with how to code your car for them. If you are out of state, you are responsible for arranging pickup and shipping, but I will help coordinate from my end.

If you are asking about the door panel trim, the 1M comes like that from the factory.

Thanks Bryan! The money from them is going towards a dedicated track car.

Question I have never been able to answer for myself looking online: Do these work with the factory heater button or do they use the usual 2-stage switch on the seat base the other recaros get?

Bmw in Europe (since these seats were Europe only) has a part# for a wiring kit to make the seat heaters work with factory buttons. As an aside my passenger seat heats fine without the wiring kit but my driver seat does not . Never pursued it since I'm in SoCal and don't need the seat heat.

Ebay ones are not oem bmw. They are recaros made to look like the oem bmw ones. End of the day they are both recaros.

Another point might be airbags. Oem has them, ebay ones not sure.

In addition to these points, the genuine seats also have integrated seat heater elements that are plug and play for those with that option on their car. They are also a Genuine BMW part number for people that care about those things.
