It's something worth after it happened though. Don't know how many videos I have of oh shit footage involving other cars and watching it over and over and going hysterical over it.

I don't run with NASA anymore. They treat HPDE like second class citizens. Race groups get priority with everything, so fuck them.

I'll be at BWR on 6/26 with Xtreme Speed though.

I'm doing Sonoma with NASA this weekend in HPDE-4 ... guess this is not a good omen. When I looked at the schedule, it was jam packed with races, with 4 sessions scattered across the day.

What bad experiences did you have? Did they cancel sessions if there were racing "incidents"?

Thankfully it was never that egregious. I just had a few things that sort of rubbed me the wrong way.

At Thunderhill NASA gave the shade to everyone but the HPDE guys.
Lots of condescending verbiage during the driver's meeting towards "enthusiast" drivers.
IIRC the bonus session was once used to absorb some time due to track incidents in the race group, but that's not too unreasonable.

the funny thing is not of the "racers" are actually fast. They just like getting something official.

Yeah but it can't be the other way around. You don't want noobs z28 and gtr and gt3 slowing you down neither lol

It's pretty frustrating for sure. We have a guy wears a race suit and has a aero equipped miata that I could pass easily if I drove my x5d towing my track car. No shit, then he talks about the great improvements aero has made for him. He could corner on the rims faster if he knew wtf he was doing.
