If you do dyno the car again make sure its in SAE mode, make multiple pulls with cool down in between and document what gear the car was in. It would also be helpful to know what gear was used on the prior dyno runs.

After all this time, I'm glad to see this system producing what it is, even though things are just as contentious as ever, it would appear. OP said he was going to do it, and he did, so hats off. Looking forward to the dynojet so we can put everything TO REST once and for all.

Good job, OP, and in for more data

Any update with a dynojet run?

No sorry. Car hasn't seen daylight since early June =(

Hoping to get it over next month. Closest dynojet is about 1hr away, often a lot worse with traffic and I'll have to take a day off to run it. Car doesn't see street pavement anymore either.

Question: what did this do to the sound?

I have heard from several independent sources that while you may make power, the sound of the car will change from more European/exotic to more American/muscle.

It would have to be a huge power bump before I give up that small-displacement, ITB V8 howl...any comments or observations on this?

I have a friend with ARH headers on his E90 M3. He has custom x-pipe and muffler bypass valves. With the valves closed, it sounds almost as quiet as stock.

But with the valves open, I swear it sounds like a Lambo V10. I kid you not, it sounds that amazing. He also has Schrick cams and E85 flex fuel, not sure if that changes the sound much.

After hearing his car I'm saving up for ARH. I don't even care if it makes zero power. I want that sound!

Sounds more like a smaller displacement American Muscle car at idle. Deeper and throatier. Still screams at the top. I personally like it over the OEM mod rear + test pipe set up that I had, even though it is now quieter.

I have some in car video and will be taking some more at WGI mid-OCT

Any updates getting it on a dynojet? Trying out E85? or just how the car is doing at the track?

Hey! No runs on dynojet yet. Car is coming back from Turner for an MCS 2 way install Friday and I'm setting up a tuning session for e85 this upcoming Tuesday or the next hopefully.

Bang it around a bit and am hoping for a couple mega-laps this year in the northeast.

I think people wanted dynojet runs, mid summer to compare worst case scenario with hottest weather (iirc from this thread).

I drive in a ARH car every now and then, it is quieter than stock headers for sure.

Yeah it's actually quieter than I thought. My test pipe + oem mod rear was louder, but the noise is so much better in the ARH system (if you're into deeper noises vs trumpet sound). It's closer to a smaller displacement US v8 in tone
