First time using the internet? He was telling you that he is a scammer, you didn't listen.

This forum is full of bots and scammers.
Look for:

1. Location:
Is the location vague, just county not state or city or other info?

2. Profile picture:
Most normal people like to set a profile picture, not bots or scammers

3. Reputation, post or thread numbers:
Especially when money exchanges hands, being able to have a prior records help to decide if this is a safe interaction.

4. Carefully reading the messages or posts for non normal local use of wording:
Look for punctuation use, spelling, grammar, sentence structure. Does it look like someone is using a translator.

5. Screenshots and pictures can be doctored, faked, touched up, ai enhanced.

6. Does the post or message match the profile or other posts and messages?
Often they will say "washed and drove it" 3 different times in 3 completely different forums

7. Trust your gut. If something doesn't feel right, walk away.

8. Don't use Venmo or other types of digital payment forms that has no protection.
