+1 on that. I currently work at a body shop and it's hard sometimes. Just make sure they get it right.

Sorry; what a hassle. I would have the reflectors filled in. It's a no-brainer when someone else is paying for the paint!

Not only is the collor not close but the applied the clear bra on fresh paint. That is a no no. The paint must cure fully before aplying the film... the rule of thumb is 30 days. I would not have installed the film because I know if it has to be removed chances are it will lift the paint with it. The body shop should know that as well as the clear bra installer.

Looks like they colored matched your bumper to the snow.

Ok, Mineral White might not be the easiest color to match but that's a horrible match and it's obvious they didn't even attempt to color match. They also did a poor job of reinstalling the poorly painted bumper. I'd still be pissed at them and I'd certainly take my car to a different body shop at this point...Good luck getting everything sorted out!

Wow clearly not mineral white! I call total BS on the body shop claiming they can't match mineral white! If they have the correct paint code they should be able to match it to look 95% close. The hardest color to match is silver in any metallic form. I've seen shops fight so hard to get it but its so hard to match.

Good luck I hope the insurance company comes through and gets it all squared away so you can go to a reputable body shop.

On a side note , I never ever will go to a body shop BMW reccomends. I got rear ended a couple of years ago in my 328, long story short BMW reccomends a shop and it was so bad they had to respray my whole deck lid. I had such bad craters in there even after the 2nd job. I walked out saying to myself I'm training this car in ASAP!

Good luck

like a few members posted, white... let alone mineral white that has a metallic finish. Is a tough colour to match, i had this same problem with my 1 of my old cars. I took it back to the shop until they got it right. They said the same thing your shop said. But they were good enough to redo it 3 times before they got it right.

take it back for sure!
