Ohlins R/T Question

I've had the Ohlins R/T on the car for about 1.5 years now, put 23k kms daily driven on it.

I started using it with 12/12 clicks f/r for daily use. Now I'm beginning to feel that it's a bit soft, but I'm not sure if it's just me, or if the dampers have softened up with use.

Question - For those of you on Ohlins R/T, have you had to firm up the damping cos the dampers got soft over time? And if yes, at what mileage did you start adding stiffness to the dampers?

Have you checked your tire pressures recently? Reduced tire pressures will result in a softer, bouncier ride and this is not controlled (damped) by the dampers.

On my R56 Mini Cooper S, I had to have my R&T dampers serviced at < 15k miles - significantly lower mileage than what Ohlins states/recommends (~30k miles). They were used on the street only.

Yes tire pressures are normal.

Why did you need to service them so soon? Were they leaking?

No leaks. Loss of damping - no measurable change from min to max settings.

What type of roads do you drive on? Are you running the supplied spring rates that come with the kit?

Roads are pretty bad, potholes and the like. I also do hill runs occasionally (8/8 clicks) and 2-3 trackdays a year (4/4) clicks.

The last hill run I did I still felt damping firm up when I reduced the clicks.

What is the cost to service Ohlins RT? Is it worth it to just buy a set new vs. used?
