Any guidance on this e90?

Hello, all. I'm a current e46 m3 / f30 328i owner and shopping for something to combine these two. An e90 M3 seems the perfect fit. 2-4 track events and a few autocross events per year but mostly commutes to work and a back seat big enough for kiddos.

I came across this car at a local dealer and was hoping to get input:

carfax: http://www.carfax.com/VehicleHistory...ode=#undefined i realize that carfax isn't a be-all, end-all but it seems like a pretty good service history.

I drove the car, seemed solid. Anything I need to specifically look at or be wary of for this year?

The color combo is definitely NOT my favorite, but being a local car in an area that not many come through it's tempting because of the price and proximity.

Thoughts from the group?

any advice is apprecaited!

Matt

Looks solid to me and thats about the way I'd want to see an '08 optioned. Price is ok for the mileage... Could get it a little lower to offset your cost for a BMW Powertrain Plus warranty, which I'd def get.

The hood and roof wrapped? Sunroof delete?

I just bought an 09 similarly optioned with a few more miles for 39K and I love it. Love not seeing the Nav hump sitting there and with the 6mt and non-EDC its all business. Just wants to be driven.

thanks for the affirmation, man!

black vinyl wrap but has since been removed by the dealership. the previous owner said he was gonna do the whole car but i guess he was doing it one panel at a time?? he got orders to colorado and so went the car for the Rubicon. probably an okay choice.

no sunroof, probably came that way vs. being deleted unless that's what you meant.

should be a really fun car! and i guess i need to look into that powertrain plus warranty you mentioned. thanks!

enjoy your car man! what color combo did you get?

Looks like a pretty decent car. I'd try and talk them down a bit though... maybe offer $33K and see where they go with it. It's a real beauty, and I also love that silver interior since I have it too. I don't think you can go too wrong with this one... and don't worry about no sunroof. I for one am quite glad not to have the sunroof creaking on rough roads!

If you're not to far you should checkout Andrew's m3. Looks well taken care of, with some tasteful mods.

Seconded. My opinion is you can't really do better than a proper enthusiast-maintained car

thanks for the input guys. that arkansas car looks great - we need a sedan for the munchkins tho! thanks for pointing that out. we were gonna get too hosed on our F30 328i and they wouldn't budge on their price. if the color combo were better i may have gone for it, but not that desperate at this point.

thanks again fellas! the hunt continues.
