Audi A5 or BMW 335 coupe

Hi I am new here. I am actually a Audi fans. Planning to get my first BMW.. 335 coupe. Kind of hard to decide in between A5 or 335,. It seems the 335 have more HP and fasterrrrrrr. ALSO TURBOOOO!!!!!!!!! :rocks: But the A5 looks not bad at all. Should I wait for the Audi A5 and compare ?? or just place a order on the 335??? (I was told that the 335 is out of stock. If I want one, I have to place a order and get onto their waiting list)

This is not the right forum for your question in more than one way. First of all you should have posted this in the e90post forum, not on M3post, but anyway.
Let me say it that way. The 335i is better in terms of handling, power and driving experience than any A5 (if we can trust the reviews so far). Only "competitor" for the 335 is indeed the S5. So if you're torn between S5 and 335i I would recommend you to wait some months (is it released in June?) and testdrive both S5 and 335i. But if you're torn between A5 and 335i, the 335i is the way to go, unless you like the design of A5 more than the BMW's.

Best regards, south

Hahaha mate!
335i all the way! The A5 with that heavy quattro system will make it too slow, plus RWD RULES! Plus nothing handles like a bimmer!
(Spot the one eyed fan!)

I would only consider a Audi if they are the RS, get the 335i , don't waste money on a A5 or S5.

I would be really torn if I had to choose between the 335i and the S5. If I decided I didnt care about a warrenty and wanted pure speed then I think the 335 is the only way to go. But stock for stock I think the S5 is the sexier car. But its a tough call and would probably come down to a test drive for me. In the end the S5 would have to impress me enough to shell out 10k more than for the Bimmer.

The S5 is the proper comparison to the 335i, though it is considerably more expensive. Read what Winding Road has to say in their first drive article in the July issue (free registration required to download):

All the reviews i've seen say that the BMW is the better car to drive. And the most practical, and the cheapest!

I was making the same decision, S5 or 335i and I ended up saying 'bugger it' and ordering an M3.
