Loud Clack in Reverse with Steering Lock

Hi all, recently I've been getting a single loud 'clack' sound from the front end when reversing the car with some steering lock (e.g. reversing into parking). It sounds like something metallic binding then releasing. There is no sound when reversing straight, or during normal driving.

I only started noticing this shortly after installing GAS monoballs, so not sure if they are the culprit or its purely coincidental. Anyone on monoballs notice the same thing? Or maybe it's something else in the front suspension?
