Best Camber Plates for Street/Track? - 2020 Edition

I was wondering what the general consensus is on camber plates for the E92 M3? I have had my relatively new-to-me M3 to the track for 3 days now, and the shoulders of the front wheels are quite worn relative to the tread, even after knocking out the alignment pins and maxing the stock camber.

I'm looking at the Vorschlag plates and the Ground Control Street plates currently. I like the idea of the GC plates with extra bushings, as I don't want to add to the NVH. I considered the Dinan plates since the fixed plates will not add to NVH, but it seems like a lot of work for not enough payoff to install. I've read about some quality issues with the GC plates, and some NVH issues with the Vorschlag plates.

Thoughts? Are there other options I'm missing?

i think u have the most popular two camber plates down already. What suspension are you on? stock? Depends on how much camber you need, dinan provides the least camber out of the three.

DIFTech makes a set of camber plates when I was looking a while back and were something I considered. Might be worth looking at as well:

Also consider, if you ever want to do coilovers some kits like KW come with camber plates.
And I think both the Vorshlag and Ground Control ones can be sent back and modified to fit coilovers vs the stock springs after the fact I believe.

Absolutely loving my GC Street plates. Zero NVH or noises, and they do exactly what they're designed to on road and on track.

Yes. They work with an assortment of setups, and can be modified down the road if you change your suspension as well.

Having had a previous setup on Ground Control, and current setup on Vorshlag I think the Ground Controls stuff is just a little nicer. If I had a good reason to just blow $500 I'd swap my Vorshlag for GC but they work just fine, just liked the GC a slight bit better.

Also, for the GC, if you don't absolutely need full solid and the ability to get crazy amounts of camber the street plates are a solid option.

Yup!

EDC/non-EDC shocks use the same hardware up front. Only the rear upper shock mount is different between the two systems.

Thanks for the recommendation. Some older threads had mentioned one of the three strut tower mounting bolts stripping, did you run into any issue? Have they revised the headless mounting bolts?

No problems at all. Those don't need much torque anyways, it's something like 30 ft-lbs if I recall. People were probably over torquing or gunning them.

Sounds like folks have already steered you the right direction here but thought I'd add to the comments. I've had Vorshlag and Ground Control street plates installed back-to-back and for a DD or more street focused car I prefer the GC street plates. I run them on my car now with Ohlins R&T and would agree with what others have said that they do not seem to add much if any nvh. Having run them back-to-back I could feel the difference between the two plates and would still recommend Vorshlag for a track focused car (with the caveat that a bit of nvh is added/felt on the street). I'm also extremely sensitive to nvh. In summary, they are both good products but happy to have the more street friendly option on my car and I do track quite a bit as well!
