Goodbye

Goodbye to our planet. Dude wtf, i am too scared to go watch "An inconvient truth" cause i dont want to know how f*cked we are.

Serioulsy, we had THUNDERSTORMS in san diego yesterday morning. And we broke a record high.. 96 degrees by the coast!

I was told that if people dont start to change their lifestyles, we'll have 10 years before we wont be able to reverse the damage.

If the polar ice caps melt, sea level will rise by 20ft. Most of FL, NY, CA..all the coasts basically will be heavily damaged. The Ice caps act as a reflection, but if they disappear, the ocean absorbs heat.. no bueno. Then animals would start to die out, and so will everything else. Stronger Hurricanes, Worse Winters, Hotter Summers, Droughts, Floods.. Seriously, i'm so scared.

I almost dont want to have children cause i would never want them to suffer for our mistakes.

And Houston, its crazy. One day its cold, the other day its hot 3rd day is cold again. not now, but like 2 months ago.

The film looks really interesting. We were talking about this in another thread. I agree that the climate seems to be changing for the worse, but I'm still not fully convinced this is all a man-made problem.

I have nothing against Gore...I like him even though I'm a republican. But aren't there also rumors that he will be running for president again in 2008? If this film is a political move, it's very clever.

All americans are proud of our troops in Iraq, but news reports daily are very dismal. Maybe Gore et al are trying to shift gears into using better and cleaner energy. I think Bush and his administration is doing a terrible job in the energy/energy research department.

I would welcome fresh ideas in the white house because I really disapprove of bush right now. I voted for him twice and I never thought I'd say that, but I do.

We need clean fuels NOW and the younger generation knows this. It seems that Gore might be trying to appeal to younger voters and it just might work!

Seriously, we've got 10 years. But then, can't we just make a bunch of ice to replace the snowcaps? We should probably start right now.

There's a movie that's playing as a double feature along with the aforementioned movie titled, "Who killed the electric car?"

It’s crazy how the Earth came out of several ice ages, and correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think humans were doing any polluting when that occurred.

Exactly, isn't it funny how for some people history began the day they were born.

What's your point? You are saying us humans are insignificantly small to the rest of the universe. I'll give you that.

But to say man is not capable of destroying Earth, man's own little world, is just ignorant. Even if you don't believe in global warming, you can't deny a nuclear holocaust which is possible at man's hands.

Holy crap! Thanks for the link...I didn't hear about this one until just now. Man, I remember all the magazines and newspaper articles about this in the 90s when this first came out. It's obvious the oil companies are behind this.

But I can't believe how morally corrupt people are! The people who control this planet are whoring it out!

Oh come on, nuclear war is the only exception. That wasn't even being discussed here. Even then, Earth will still be intact...we can only destroy ourselves.
