Project M3 Update & Vorsteiner Trunk INSTALLED!

First of All...

Special Thanks to the following sponsors:

- Eisenmann GmbH
- CA Automotive
- Vorsteiner
- Active Autowerke
- WheelSTO
- HRE
- Nitto Invo tires

IND-Distribution Project Car: E90 M3
http://www.ind-distribution.com

But specifically, a huge THANK YOU to Vorsteiner for hooking us up with the E90 carbon fiber trunk!!

Initial Impressions:
Well we all know that this has been one of the most highly anticipated items in the E90/M3post community...and although many may have been disappointed by the long wait, or doubted its existence (or quality), do read on. Right when we got our trunk in house, I can honestly say that the piece is absolutely FLAWLESS. After putting it next to my OEM unit, it appears to be an exact mold of the OEM trunk...which was something I've come to expect quality-wise from Vorsteiner and the very reason why I am proud to have all their current offerings on my car. Here are a couple pics just to reiterate my point about quality:

The all-important decision: Paint
Ultimately, we wanted to try something unique for this trunk...and something that would show off Vorsteiner's commitment to quality at the same time. After tossing around different ideas, the conclusion was based off of the Ferrari F40's paint scheme - paint so thin that you could see the weave through it. But, we wanted to keep the look of the trunk itself relatively clean, so the decision was made to utilize this idea on the utmost "fin" of the trunk (where many have left completely exposed CF). The end result was fantastic! With Melbourne Red, I figured it would be easier to spot any waviness from the trunk...and I'm happy to report that there was none to be found.

Installation & Fitament:
Keeping my initial opinions in mind, I was extremely critical of how the trunk actually fit on the car itself. Needless to say, the trunk fit like a glove! We ran into absolutely NO problems during installation and the unit worked perfectly - both with normal use and with comfort access.

But what all you are waiting for...THE PICS!!!
Here is a showcase of our M3 so far and a good look at all the mods to date. Enjoy!

sick car.....new boot lid looks amazing. When can we see a profile shot from distance? my only gripe is that it looks like the 2 tail light pieces don't line up flush anymore.

why did you guys decide to paint the carbon fiber? LOOKS AMAZING

Eww utter shot. I think that is the suprising thing about Eisenmann. They still show a ton of muffler like the stock one. Main reason I shy away from them. Big mistake...

car looks great. is it just me, or does the bottom of the boot lid look a little high? seems like the gap between the lid and the bumper is a bit larger than usual.
